Well we are off out - going to get the new leadlight sorted out for our front door and surround and that means a coffee and something whilst out.
We usually do a crossword together whilst having coffee etc.

I wonder how many will turn out for Yorkshire's voting - they may think why bother as it won't make a lot of difference.

Hello all,
Thank you for thinking about me. I have been sleeping long hours and also dozing off in the afternoons - thanks to the doc's latest prescription. I will be glad to stop taking that particular tablet, but can't stop yet as the rash is still with me and although slightly smaller, it's still very sore.

Still having blood tests every few days, and visiting specialists too. To-day's specialist said no more visits for six months - but the GP expects me back on Wednesday. That's four whole days free of being a pin-cushion! so I'm looking forward to Sunday - Mothers' Day here in Oz - when my family can visit - that should keep me awake and help take my mind off myself.

Berona, it is lovely to hear from you.

Please do enjoy mother's day tomorrow and I do sincerely hope that you are soon back to your old self.

Berona, you must know when I am thinking about you, because while I am going to sleep I think through the things I need to do tomorrow. One of them last night was email Berona to see how she is doing and this morning here you are - spooky.

I am glad that you are managing to get lots of sleep even if it is more than you actually want. Better than the other way around. I am sure-that you will be spoilt by your family tomorrow and deservedly so.

Well given my board name, strictly speaking I should not be talking to you, but as I am of mixed race, maybe it is allowed. ( I was brought up in Northumberland, but actually born in a nursing home just over the border in County Durham and am now an adopted Yorkshire lass)

I see the House of York and the House of Lancaster are still at odds.

It will interesting to see who ends up running this country. I am tempted to say anything would be better than the clowns we've been subjected to for decades.
It seems that Cameron will be the next Prime Minister of a coalition Government.........Well only time will tell how that works out. He did in effect win the election, so deserves a chance to prove his worth.
Could he be any worse than his predecessors? I don't know.

CC. The Duchess is reasonably ok at the moment thanks, which is just as well, as it's me that's a little fragile at the moment. Not wishing to give too much information to those of a delicate dispostion, I've had a terribly upset stomach since last Monday, so have been living on toast for several days now, fearing to eat anything else, but had chicken soup and toast this evening. The upside is that I've lost 6lbs in weight in the last few days, not that I need to, but it won't do any harm.

Had a pm from our lovely friend Diane - she has a chest infection, so I suggested she covers it with Vick!

CC my foot still aches when I walk, which is annoying given that it was a few weeks now since I hurt it, I have obviously done more damage than I first thought.

I am glad to have done a small bit to help you, but as you have done so much research all ready, there wasn't much I could do. I hate to be beaten and have been digging around again tonight but to no avail.

I have been looking for the death of one of my great grandmothers yet again. She died when mum was about ten and I have already bought two wrong death certificates for her. I have trawled through the burial records for the local churches but can't find her. Mum used to visit her, though never liked her because she "wasn't a loving person". That probably explains why she is not to be found, she carried on annoying her relatives in death as she did in life!
