Good evening/morning all

Welcome Pam, I'm an ex Pom now living just south of Perth (well two hours south). I have two adult children, if that isn't an oxymoron, and we have been in Australia since 1982.

CC many thanks for reformatting those sketches :0))

Those were from one sketch book: I will send some others including the King Willam IV cypher and an exquisite one of an infant who would be a relation of mine. These are from a seperate book.

The difference between the two books is that we cannot say conclusively that my grandfather was the owner of the first, but we can with the second book as his name appears in it.

Good evening Linda and Tec

Good evening Allan.

Tec, of course you can count on my vote, just as long as I get all of your chocolate

I'm very impatient: I have a wait problem!! :0))

Good morning/evening all. Hope you are all well.

How nice to come on this morning and read about your gardens. Mine is looking a bit neglected at the moment.

Pam - a warm welcome to our thread. I'm an Aussie although born in England. I live south of Sydney and the weather is glorious at the moment. Please come back again - we're all a bit crazy at times but we have fun:-))

Yesterday was a sad day. My sister-in-law has two little dogs. One is the sister of my little dog. This little one took ill over the weekend and had to be taken to the vet. After tests it was discovered that her kidneys have failed and she has a tumour on her spine that’s causing her back legs to give way. My SIL rang in tears and asked me to go to the vet’s with her and help her make a decision about what she should do. Very hard decision to make in some ways but as I told her – she knows what she should do. So we stayed with the little one while she had her injection and then I brought my SIL back home and my OH gave her a stiff brandy. It was very sad but my SIL knew she had done the right thing. My little dog was a bit confused by the amount of cuddling she got off all of us yesterday afternoon.

Good Evening Allan,
Take your place in the queue - and weight - patiently.

Linda of course you can have all my chocolate.

CC. It's very unfair being overweight through no fault of your own, and I sympathise - I have a sister with a similar problem, she is very active, and hardly ever eats anything "naughty"

Tec.

* ouch*

Sorry for the delayed reaction: the UK site was playing up again so I've changed to the Aussie site. I may have to put this in my favourites and ditch the other.

CC you asked about art styles. There is a difference between the two but having said that, they are both creative and are nearly as good as photographs xcept, of course that some belong to the 1830's.

Tec for PM? That would set the country back on its feet. I could even be tempted to move back :0))

It would be wonderful if Tec becomes PM. That would mean the Duchess will the be the First Lady or whatever the PM's wife is called. We could all go to tea at 10 Downing Street. We'll be allowed to go through the gate:-))

Good morning Sue.

That is sad news about your SIL's little dog. It's always hard but you have to think of the poor animal. I know how upset I was when I had to take our cat that had been with us for twenty years to the vet.

If Tec becomes PM and we all go to no. 10 for tea, do I get the chance to wear my Maid's uniform for the formal occasion?

:0))

It is sad news about the dog Sue, but your SIL did the right thing.

CC what is the yellow plant called, my brain has gone dead.
I have some of it which came from dads garden originally. Last year a large part of it died off, but the remaining bit has grown well this year

Have a bit of class Allan - we will be guests. You will have to wear your best bib and tucker. Afternoon frocks for the ladies with matching shoes and handbag and perhaps white gloves.
