Good night Pat

CC, Sue, nothing that sinister: or at least I don't think so!

Others are convinced that the group is the perpetrator of all the ills of mankind.

I'm a member of the rolled-up trouser leg and funny handshake brigade :0))

Goodnight, Pat and Linda.

Are you a Mason, Allan? So was my dad:-))

Where did Tec go? And where is our Berona and our Perse?

Allan Report 17 May 2010 23:23

CC there are many organisations like that but the main ones are the Buffaloes, Driuds, Oddfellows and Masons and then there are different branches of Masonry.

Most of the so called Secret Societies are listed in the various community brochures or are in the telephone directory.

Certainly our Hall shared between 3 Masonic Lodges has the contact details of the respective secretaries outside.

if you can locate one near you they may be able to help in identifying the regalia

Sue, I've been a member for 24 years now. And, as far as I know, there have been no family connections with the Craft

CC, I've gone past the point of having to roll up my trouser leg :0))

A man has to maintain some dignity!

Linda I'm pleased that you've managed make new arrangments for your holiday, are you able to go to same place?
No, I didn't give the Australian girl the grande tour, I did ask three times if she wanted to have a look around, but she declined, just wanted a photo of the outside.

Sue, The boat trip on the river sounds great, very interesting I should imagine, especially as there were so few of you on the trip.

Pam, I too love to hear descriptions of your locality, it sounds beautiful, and very exotic. I hope you will continue to post here, so that you can tell me how warm it is, when I'm sitting here freezing half to death in a Welsh winter, with icicles hanging off my nose.

Allan, I'm sure that young lady wasn't from Google, they already have a rather obscured shot of my house.

CC. You can certainly be a member of my Empire, but forget about the teabags.

Janet, You are a busy bee, hope you managed to get that catnap.

Hi Carole - Come back soon - we miss you,

Tec.

Speaking of Dignity, CC, it is the RAOB: the Royal Ancient Order of Buffaloes.

I am having such trouble with this site tonight.

I wrote a long post prior to my last one, then it vanished into cyber space. Then I got kicked off altogether - then I got annoyed and ran away before the laptop went through the window.

I feel better now.

CC. Because I am a geriatric dinosaur, who arrived in this world on the end of a doodlebug I haven't mastered the art of Copy & Paste, but I will practice.
There's no use sitting there tutting - I may learn - I may not.

Allan Report 17 May 2010 23:50

Tec, I was the same with cutting and pasting. It was a mystery: but now that I've mastered the art it is very helpful.

If I can learn how to do it, anyone can :0))

Thank you Allan, you have restored my confidence. It is comforting to know that not everyone here is a computer genius - a guy can feel quite inadequate at times.
I will practice when it doesn't matter, if you know what I mean.

Now though it's time for bed, as I'm getting the "look"

So enjoy your day everyone Down Under, Hi to Berona,
sleep well CC.
~~~~~to Diane, who must be in bed.
Goodnight
Berona Report 18 May 2010 11:50
Hello everyone. As usual, I came onto this thread this morning, but everyone had gone to bed! Sorry I'm still getting up late, but this morning was a different story. I awoke early, but could hear RAIN!!! It was so unusual, that I just lay there listening to it - and went back to sleep! It had stopped by the time I awoke again. No more until late in the afternoon and then only very light like we usually get around here.
Having been inside Chester City Walls after midnight on several occassions - one also wonders if they still shoot Welshmen there.
CC, I have fiddled about according to your celebrated instruction, and successfully managed to C&P your post onto a Word Document - have yet to copy anything onto this board, but will be brave later.
Maybe it's a little premature to apply for that position as an IT Manager.
That's another thing that doesn't work - my VCR player. I had a new tv before Christmas, and although I managed to install the Video Player into it, I couldn't get the VCR to work.
Now I want a recordable Video Player, probably get into a mess with that too.
OH is watching Wycliffe tonight.
Good evening everyone.
I too managed to do something on the computer geeky lines today, so am very pleased with myself. It is too complicated to explain, but it is to do with my docking station simulator. I managed to sort things out by myself without having to ask my son,so I am very pleased. It wasn't that complicated once I had found where I needed to be, I am still finding my feet with Windows 7
