Tec - yes we have the Northern Territory but not represented on here. We had a niece and her family living in Darwin but they are now in Saudi Arabia on a 3 year working contract. They love it.

Sue, couldn't you nip up to Alice Springs, and Darwin to recruit a couple more posters?

Tec.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 18 May 2010 23:26

Well I could Tec but I really think that as the administrator of this thread and considering that a trip to NT is work related then it should really be all expenses paid. So you may have to do a whip around to finance the trip:-)) Sounds good to me.

It shouldn't cost that much Sue, I believe they have camels up there, you could take a nice leisurely stroll on a camel. Pitch a tent at night,
fantastic trip.

Don't be such a skinflint Linda - I've heard that Yorkshiremen are "careful" with their brass - but really.

I’m not a smarty pants IT specialist either and used to get all confused with this “right click and go to” etc. So my son, who is an IT person and saves his mother’s stupidity regularly, taught me to highlight the text you want to copy, then hit CTRL C – go the the document where you want to put the text and hit CTRE V and magically the text appears in the new site. Pretty cool. I use it often. (PS That's how I just now put this post in. Very easy)

VCR????? I have one, can’t use it.

DVD???? I have one and still can’t get the hang of it.

BUT our TV carked it the other night with a mighty fizzing sound and a very large smell that took ages to disperse so we’re now looking at buying a new one. We figure at our age we need a bigger screen so it’s more money than we paid for the last one about 16 years ago. (As would be normal) I’d like to get the one with the built in DVD recorder player – OH is hmmmmnng and haaaaaaahhhhhhing about this. It’s a difference of $151 and he seems to think the other DVD will go onto the new TV OK. Maybe so. But it doesn’t record and often there are programmes on that I don’t get to see because we want to watch something else, or I’m at work, or it’s on late at night when I’m abed. So I might just have to put in a few more hours work and provide the extra to get what I want.

Linda; thanks for that information. I have enough trouble getting GR family tree right. And I’m building that one all the time. Such fun. My greatest thrill was to find my grandfathers missing brother’s family in Fiji and meet up with them here in Aust. I’m hoping to save the money to go to Fiji for another family reunion to meet up with the rest of the Fiji connection that couldn’t come to Aust. for the last reunion we had here. Had 2 so far and caught up with cousins that I hadn't seen in over 50 years !!!

I can suggest someone for Canberra. I have a rellie down there. The Aussie resident from the Fiji connection.

Goodnight to all of you people leaving. I’ll have to go soon, too. Got a couple of larrikin lorikeets roaming around my kitchen that I need to round up into their cage and feed. Only babies, but gee, are they a handful !! Then it’s on to the housework list that I have arranged for today.

There's a good silent movie at my local fleapit, Pearl White, tied to a railway track while the wicked Jaspar looks on grinning.

I'm on the piano.

Good evening/morning all

Good evening CC and Tec.

CC it's amazing there are certain things that I can do on the computer (even if it is a bit uncomfortable!!) but one thing I have never mastered is spreadsheets :0((

However, now that I have the time, I will give it a go!

Tec, have you found the missing chord yet?

Good Morning Allan,

Hope you're in galloping good form this morning.

Found the lost chord underneath the Unfinished Symphony.
