If I have offended you, I will remove my post Sue. I was just trying to make a humorous remark in the absence of Allan, but he is so much better at it.

Where is he, we are going to have to organise a search party soon.

You couldn't offend me if you tried, Linda. I took it as you meant it:-))

What makes you think I have a photo CC? Well.....yes I do:-))

I don't know where Allan is or Persey. Has anyone heard from either of them?

LindainHerriotCountry Report 24 May 2010 11:30

Allan and Persey are missing, Oh no, hmm, we could start a rumour here suggesting they have run off together. Not very likely though given the distance between then and more to the point Mrs Allan has him scared to death.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 24 May 2010 11:34

Never thought of that, Linda. We could well start a rumour but would anyone believe us?

Of course they would Sue as we are both such upstanding citizens

We are indeed, Linda. I'm off to watch the telly for awhile - see you later:-))

Hello everyone,

SueMaid: Thank you for making me officially one of the “gang”. I’ve never been a gang member before. LOL

Finished work last night a 7.45pm and it’s now 3am here and I’m wide awake. Darn it. I hate it when I want to sleep all night and even sleep in in the morning and I awake like this. Still, I’ve got my cup of Chai Latte and I’m talking to you nice people so life could be a lot worse.

Well, it just got a bit worse. Everyone has gone. No one knows where Allan is. I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Persey yet so s/he has been missing a lot longer than Allan. Maybe Allan went looking for Persey and now they’re both lost? You think? Hmm.

So, on with my news. I’ll just sit here in the corner and talk to myself for a bit. I don’t have to start work today until 4pm. First appointment then. So I hope to have a little bit of housework catch up today. OH has been doing the small stuff for me whilst I’ve been at work. Got a couple of bookcases to dust and another couple of boxes from upstairs to empty out and get rid of a lot of stuff. How on earth do we manage to accumulate so much over time? I would have enough clothes to start my own op shop, I think. But I’m not that adventurous so I’ll give it away to the Salvos or Endeavour Foundation. Whomever. Then tomorrow I must sort out my kitchen cupboards, yet again. There’s a treasure trove in there for the op shops, too.

Once I do all that then it will be time to take down the curtains and wash all those. Now that OH has the new water pipes in from the billabong to the top tank there’s plenty of water so I can go on a washing spree. Lack of water at different times of the year is a bit of a downside to not having town water, but then, we don’t have all the chemicals in our water that they have, either. The only city in Australia that I find has good water is Sydney and I know what’s in that – makes my stomach cringe.

Gee, that cup of Chai went fast. So now I might go to English Harbour Casino and play for free their poker machines. Always makes me sleepy watching those wheels go round. Then I can go back to bed and get some more shuteye.

Take care all. Pam

Hello everyone,
It's been a lovely day in sunny Exeter. Too nice to work but there you go.
I've officially hung up my winter coat and red hat now that summer is here.
Hi Pam,
i know all about accumulating stuff. I've had decoarating done on my house and i got rid of a lot of stuff. Never again. I've still got bags in the spare room to sort.
I hope you get to sleep soon.

Hello Pam and Pat, although you probably have gone back to sleep by now, Pam that is.

By the way Pam, have you been told about the initiation ceremony in order to join the gang?

Pat are you sure that you are not being premature in hanging up your winter coat? The wind is due to come from the north tomorrow and the temperature is going to plummet.

Hopefully I shall be heading for the sun again. We are due to go on our rearranged holiday tomorrow. We will be leaving for the airport about 9am. The volcano has stopped spewing ash and the ash which is in the air is not affecting English airspace,so we should get away. What could possibly go wrong? Don't answer that

Hi Linda,
It's half time in the England -Mexico match.
Have a good holiday.
One of my friends at work said that the temperature was going to drop 10c. I'd planned to go to Budleigh Salterton on Saturday! There is a nice Ice cream shop there.

Tecwyn Report 24 May 2010 22:26

Linda I hope you're all ready for the off - no hitches this time. The temps of the last few days should have acclimatised you to the Med. Hope you can cope without a laptop or computer in sight. Anyway, have a lovely holiday - chill out - stay safe.

CC, I had already gathered you are something of a rebel, it is apparent in your writing - are you a rebel with, or without a cause?
I like rebels, quirky people, individuals, and have always had a tendency to do my own thing, and not follow the herd. I am not a follower of fashion, and am told my tastes are "retro" Well that means "old fashioned" really.
That's fine by me.

Pat, Hope you enjoy the ice cream on your day out - though you may need to get that coat out again.

Pam, I have a theory that the more space you have, the more you will accumalate sp. We seriously need to off load a lot of things we neither use or need. I am a hoarder, and despite my OHs best efforts, I carry on collecting things - it's like a disease.

Linda, I'm probably too late but I hope that you holiday plans finally take off, as it were.

And also to Carole, welcome back

Allan Report 24 May 2010 22:35

My absence yesterday had nothing to do with bins, I was just plain kn**kerd. Last week was hectic with two trips to Donnybrook and doing the same work for my own Lodge on Thursday night, then travelling to Perth on Friday.

I didn't surface until 7.00am and then as OH has a streaming cold, kindly donated to her by our daughter, I spent the morning preparing soup to go with the bread I made on Saturday.
