That's ok Allan, Linda did some valuable research for me some time ago, and I was similarly excited. It really is encouraging to get some help when you've been struggling along on your own.

No Sue - Tecwyn is not my real name, just a screen name. Tecwyn was actually the name of my last dog. When my current dog goes to that great kennel in the sky, I will adopt his name, which will confuse you all if I'm still around.

Throughout my sea going career I was known by yet another name "Muffin"
please do not call me Muffin.

Tec.

Well all, I must away.

I'll try to get back on later. I said that yesterday and OH ended up hogging the 'puter until well into the evening :0))

Have a pleasant night or day according to your time zone

Well this is a right turn-up for the books. I've just found the wife of an ancestor living where she should be in 1901 with her family. No husband in sight although she states she is married. She has a 4 month old child whose middle name is the surname of the lodger!! and he is down as married also. Meanwhile hubby (my 2 x great uncle) is labouring on a farm in Rotherham. Now why would she name her youngest after the lodger. He must be a good friend...wink wink;-)

Bye Allan, Enjoy your Sunday whe'er it takes you,

Hello CC - I shall just ignore your little joke :))

Well I must away to my bed now,
Enjoy your day Sue, happy gardening, whatever.
Bye CC, off to bed with you too, and you Diane,
Hi to Berona for later............
Goodnight,
Tec.

Sue - Best not think about the lodger too much.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 20 Jun 2010 00:24

Goodnight Tec - sleep tight.

CC - never thought of that. However I shall take Tec's advice and not think too much about the lodger:-))

I agree that our ancestors did things to vex us. I find myself acting like a terrier and not letting go until I find out as much as possible about whoever I'm researching.

CC.............Have you taken your medication?

I have a spare white cardigan Tec, we could put it on her backwards and tie the sleeves together until she feels better

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Jun 2010 18:47

And I've got a spare room at the top of the house, plus a lot of foam carpet underlay that could be used to line the walls - would serve very nicely as a padded cell.

Ah, the mad lady in the attic

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Jun 2010 19:13

There's a lovely soothing view from that room, and I could install a 40 inch plasma tv on the wall, out of reach, in order to keep her entertained with re-runs of all the World Cup matches, over and over and over again.

I hope that sound will be on,so she can hear all those nice musical instruments which they are so fond of playing

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Jun 2010 19:17

She could pretend to be the Queen Bee

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Jun 2010 19:22

We will have to consider her diet carefully. Is there a handy McDonalds?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Jun 2010 19:26

Sadly the nearest McDonalds is 50 miles away - but we do have a Turkish Kebab shop only 10 miles away.

Could feed her kebabs through the cat flap

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Jun 2010 19:27

I am sure that they will be on her diet sheet, so that will do fine.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Jun 2010 21:48

Looks around innocently... Who has been picking on you CC?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Jun 2010 21:57

You tell me who's picking on you CC - I'll sort them out.

I haven't got a little peccadilloe - where do you get them? and what do you do with them?

Tec.

It sounds like some sort of bird Tec, they peck don't they
