Good Morning Sue,

I'm not crazy either - it's the others.

Spent my Fathers Day digging a big hole in the garden to sink a water tank that will be the sump for my water feature.
Had a card from my daughter with a six foot Meer Cat on it - she phoned to say it reminded her of me.
Do we raise our children just to be insulted by them?

I am not a trifle or a jelly - rather a sponge - I absorb everything and don't squeal until squeezed.

Goodnight Linda, sleep well,

CC....Nobody is picking on you - we love you dearly, even if you are barking.

Goodnight Linda - sleep tight.

Allan - that's my motto:-))

CC - you still hate Yoko Ono? She broke up the Beatles you know:-))

Is dancing around your handbag a quaint little Essex custom, CC? Is it a bit like Morris dancing or dancing around the maypole?

CC...Barking is where I had my flight on the loo, I was the only Essex boy in school who spoke Welsh.

I once watched Morris Dancing: He made a complete pratt of himself :o))

The Morris's have given me a right dance Allan. My OH's maternal line and a darn brick wall. Thankfully our Linda helped knock it down:-)

CC - my dad's cousin was called Annie Pratt:-))

The Duchess watched Pobol Y Cwm when it started, but she said it turned into the usual grim domestic saga that East Enders is.
I think East Enders is the most depressing programme on the box. They are nothing like the happy-go-lucky cheerful East Enders I knew at one time.

CC - OH has Williams from Wales. A nightmare. What's even worse is that OH's gg grandfather Williams married a Williams and they both had fathers called William Williams and brothers called Thomas Williams.

I can tell you that my father said his cousin's husband was a "right Pratt" and was disliked by the family so the cousin wasn't born a Pratt - just married one:-))

Sue, William Williams is very common in Wales, there are four in OHs ancestry.
There is a WW a few doors away from me here.

it isn't just a Welsh thing, Tec, it also happens with the Irish

My Paternal Great Grandmother, Annie Coe, married Charles Coe

At least she didn't have to change the initials on her suitcases. They were still stamped 'HMP' :0))

OH's paternal grandma was a Befnal Green girl. OH said she was a tough old bird - but he speaks of her with great affection. She died at the ripe old age of 96. OH's family are Norf Lunduners but various off-shoots are East Enders. I cringe at the thought of them being like th TV characters - I'm sure they weren't.

CC....My best friend at school was from a real East End family and we travelled from Essex most weekends at one time to visit them. They lived in Old Street, Shoreditch I think it was. They practically adopted me as one of their own. When I left to live with my aunty in Wales aged 16 I really missed that family more than my own.
They were the kindest people you could imagine, poor but happy.

However OH and myself will be going to Margaret River soon as we want to buy some more venison.

CC We've only tried it once and it was very nice, but it was the farmed venison not the wild one, which I imagine would be more 'gamey' in flavour.
