Linda, I"ve always felt the cold. Even as a youngster. That's why they call me a tropical bird.

Love the heat.

Poor Pam, i do sympathise having been there and got the Tee Shirt.

We have to grow our tomatoes in a greenhouse (glass house) although I do put any spare plants outside and they do grow, but obviously not as well as the ones inside.

Yes - enough politics.

I haven't been as far up as you are Pam. Bribie Island is as far north as I've been. We tend to travel south into Victoria, around NSW and of course Hobart where we have a son and grandson. I love Tasmania.

Hello Linda - didn't see you there.

I think we all feel the cold lol and after the winter we just had, we certainly felt it. It is nice to have some heat now, although it is very humid today which is odd given that it isn't that hot

Yes, Sue. Hobart is lovely. I remember being in Hobart once between Christmas and New Year. My son and OH were in a Sydney Hobart Yacht race and I froze. There was snow on Mt Wellington and this in the middle of summer???? Very pretty place, though.

Bribie Island is really good, too. That's where one of my second cousins lives that I met up with through GR. I went to visit him and his wife and stayed for a few days. They have a lovely house on the canal.

Linda - I remember being in Duxford at the RAF base on a very overcast and muggy day. I couldn't believe how humid it was but it wasn't really hot. The next day it was sunny, warm with no humidity at all.

Linda, I have an automatic tomato planting machine. It's called a peacock. It eats the cherry tomatoes off the vines and proceeds to 'seed' them, already fertilized onto the ground where they grow. No need to put them underground up here.

I noticed that your new Prime minister was Welsh, so wondered if Tec had sent the Duchess over to sort you out. Speaking of Tec, he wasn't around last night,so I hope he is OK, he will insist on heaving paving stones around and tiring himself out.

Planting machine - that made me laugh, Pam:-))

I hope Tec's ok too. I haven't from Diane lately. She was hoping to get a couple of weeks off before long.

Dunno about sorting us out. It's the pollies that need sorting.

Hello to all.
The rest of the paragraph is obsolete already. So I deleted it.

Pam, as you are relatively new to the thread, you may not know that whoever wins the lottery first is going to buy a cruise ship and sail round the world collecting up all the members of the thread so that we can have a massive party.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 24 Jun 2010 11:55

Pollies are politicians Linda. Pam you do know that if you win you have to buy a cruise ship for us all to use. This was decided on very early on when the thread first started.

Linda do you realise that we are coming up for a year on this thread?

Sue xx

Snap Linda:-))

Pamela

Pamela Report 24 Jun 2010 11:56

I would gladly buy the cruise ship and do just that. Alas, however, the numbers drawn have just been posted and I didn't even win a small prize. I think I should just give up on this wishful thinking business. But.... I'll no doubt buy another ticket next week.

Hollzy

Hollzy Report 24 Jun 2010 11:59

I'd buy 2 cruise ships and go cruisin' in one, and send the other to pick you all up, and you can try to catch me. I might be more successful than typing these messages.
