Good Morning Sue, and Allan,
Good Evening Linda,

Phew.....what a scorcher that was.
It was far too hot for me outside, extremes of temps are dangerous for me, so I stayed indoors all day. My daughter and her husband are coming for the weekend, so I had plenty to do indoors anyway.

Allan, Bad news that the doctor you are accustomed to is giving up. More important than anything else is that whoever takes over is up to speed on diabetes.

Hello Tec - I take it you and the Duchess are in Glastonbury in spirit. What a shock when your daughter and SIL turn up to see you both in your hippy gear and flowers in your hair.

Hello Linda,
I pop down to Glastonbury during the day in the chopper, and get back at night in time to talk to you.

Supermarket shopping.........where's the mystery? been doing it for years.

CC....Reading your earlier post, why didn't you get one of those burly young roadmakers to give you a piggyback over the tarmac, or just lift you over the wall............I would have done if I'd been there.

Tec, your little Co-op doesn't qualify as a supermarket

CC........I have the greatest admiration for the Prince of Wales, so would not do that. He is visiting a village quite near here next week.

Good evening Tec

CC although Panis Angelicus is now performed seperately, it was actualy the final part of a hymn written by St Thomas Aquinus for the Mass for the feast of Corpus Christii.

I'm not a relgous freak but I really do enjoy liturgical music, particularly the Eastern Orthodox sung Masses

Linda it's quite a bIg Co-op as they go - Tesco were recently refused planning permission to buils a store locally - I am very disappointed.

CC........Not being unkind - really. But thinking of you climbing over that wall brings a mental vision of Hyacinth to my weird mind LOL.

That is a shame Tec, it would have made things so much easier for you. I hope you have a lovely weekend with your daughter.

I am off to bed now, that will ensure that Berona will arrive. I am not avoiding her honestly, I just can't stay awake any longer.

You've put the image in my mind now, Tec. Hyacinth walking down Daisy's footpath, the dog barking and Hyacinth falling into the bushes:-))

CC........I think the Prince of Wales is entitled to his opinion, as we all are.
If he can be instrumental in trying to prevent some of the abominable architectural buildings going up in London and other cities, then good luck to him. When, and if, he becomes King, he will not be allowed to voice an opinion about anything.
I have nothing to say about the ex Mrs Parker Bowles.

Sue, I loved that episode of Hyacinth - and always found her sister Rose hysterical.

Is it just me, or have I missed something?

For ages the time on the posts was always a couple of minutes fast, now it synchronises with my computer shown time (Give or take seven hours)

Oh that has made me giggle, CC. I have a tale. I was home alone and decided to bring the washing in. I went down the back steps in my slip on slippers and fell. I couldn't get up as each time I attempted to I felt faint and nauseous. I could see a workman next door so I yelled to him over and over. He didn't even react. Eventually I dragged myself up the steps and through the back door where I pulled myself up and promptly vomited. I lay on the floor for awhile then crawled into the bedroom where I was able to reach the phone and call OH. He raced home and took me to the doctors where I was x-rayed and told I had a nasty sprain but no break. I told my next door neighbour who after sympathising with me laughed and told me that the workman was his bil and he was deaf:-)) Could only happen to me.

Sue xx

Edit - this post didn't synchonise with my computer Allan.
