We were in the opposition, the Caravan and Camping Club. We used to love the small five unit sites as well. |

Good morning/evening lovely people. I slept in a little this morning. We were woken early by what sounded like an explosion. At that time of the morning we can generally hear traffic on the expressway (motorway) and I'm hoping nothing nasty happened there. A lot of very big trucks travel through the night. |

We were lucky when my husband decided to retire. He was 59 and decided to retire near his 60th birthday. We took my mum to England and while we were there he received a message to say that he was being made redundant. This meant a package to add to his superannuation. The job lasted another few months although OH was rarely at work. He retired 2 months short of his 60th. He is one of the “rare breed”. He helps a lot around the house and he has his volunteer work – driving a bus for people who need to get to various doctors’ and hospital appointments. He also does some volunteer work for the organisation I work for. He has adjusted really well considering he left a job that was busy and often stressful. He was on various committees and was also a union delegate. Before he left he secured jobs for the younger men who were also made redundant and then waved good bye with a smile on his face. |

I have just spoken to my daughters partner, he is back home now. My daughter is in the antenatal ward trying to go to sleep. He is going in tomorrow for ten to see what is happening, but of course it is the weekend, so nothing happens in hospitals. I doubt they will wait until Monday to induce her, but who knows they have given her antibiotics as a precaution. |

Hi Allan. We both paced when our grandchildren were born. We were actually in the hospital with our son when his little boy was born. We had travelled to where they were living and he rang and said he wanted us there. The little fellow was only 10 minutes old when we saw him - something I'll never forget. |

I can't wait Sue, I suppose I know what she is going to have to go through to get to holding her baby. OH says he never felt a thing - well I certainly did. |

I'm earlier than before but still missed Linda. I have my fingers crossed. Reminds me of when my daughter was in the hospital and I was waiting to hear the news. I had gone into my son's room and told him she was in the delivery room - and he went back to sleep. |

Sue, rain forecast for here today, but at least with the cloud overnight temps are not too bad. 6c here last night compared with 0c the night before. |

Berona - our little dog came back inside very quickly after doing her business. It's still quite chilly outside although the sun's lovely. Do you have any plans for today? |
