The bacon is on the grill - I never usually have these urges at this time of night - it just fell upon me.

Sue, I will send you a bouquet of my best blooms, but will put more stamps on than Allan does, so you may get them lol.

Back to the bacon........

Good evening.
I have been busy doing more research for the lady from New Zealand. I still have more to do, but luckily it is an easy one. She is 77 and never knew anything apart from her parents names, now she has a decent tree.
Before that i was helping an Aussie man, he had come into the tourist office this morning to ask for help . As luck had it, I was due in this afternoon, so they advised him to come back which he did. I was able to help him then, but I also gave him my email address and he sent me a message as soon as he got back to where he was staying. I was able to send him lots of information on the burials which he was looking for.

Baby news, she finally has a name, she is Eve Amber. She has a long surname,so it flows well. She has been let out of hospital this evening, but they have to take her back tomorrow for another blood test to make sure the jaundice is not coming back. She has started to put on weight again.

Hi Linda - you are a good person helping so many with research.

Eve Amber is a beautiful name and one that sits well with a child and an adult. I'm always pleased when I hear lovely names and not some of the strange names you often read in the birth notices. The older names seem to be coming back in fashion. My daughter has friends with daughters called Grace, Isabella and Georgia.

CC for gnomes, try this link:

And I can tell you the real story of how gnomesville started. There are very few of us left who know the shady details!!!

Are you really a shady person Allan?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 5 Jul 2010 23:28

Good news Linda - lets all hope Eve Amber continues to make progress - lovely names by the way.
There are some pretty awful names about at the moment - why do people do that to their children?

I enjoyed my bacon and tomatoe butty.

I have a book about the Norwegian origins of gnomes - according to folk lore, they were not altogether very nice little people.

Linda, I have a shady past. It was whilst I was working in Leonora and we had to find all the shade we could :0))

Gnomesvill actually started as a bit of classic Aussie civil disobedience.

Does anyone watch gnome and away??

lol

Did you know that in Wales we have our own fairies - they are known as the Tolwerth Teg.
Thought you might like to know that!

Tec.

Allan

Allan Report 5 Jul 2010 23:56

CC, they do get vandalised from time to time but, as they are really in a fairly isolated spot, it isn't a frequent event and they are usually rapidly replaced by the locals.

The Tolwerth Teg sounds like the local chapter of one of the Bikie groups :0))

lol CC.

Obviously the neighbours from H*ll.

Families like that make me sick. Never have any money on them yet always manage to use and abuse the various transprt systems!

And I bet they have holidays abroad every year, even possibly as far as Canada!

Scandalous!!
