When we went on our touring trip last year we stayed in a town called Armidale in north west NSW. It was warm but comfortable. An hour down the road is Tamworth and we gave it a miss because the forecast was for 42 dgs. At least 5 dgs. above Armidale's expected temperature. We often noticed large differences in the weather within small distances.

vehicles under cover and stay inside away from windows. If caught outside find
shelter away from trees, powerlines, storm water drains and streams. Boat owners
should make sure their boats are securely moored. Take extra care on the roads.
If driving through heavy rain slow down and turn your lights on or if visibility
becomes low pull over and park until it passes. For SES assistance call 132 500.

Berona, we'll be just on the fringe of this one as we are not really far from Cape Naturaliste.

Sue - I like to think that they all went to seed and spread along the Nullabor - to make it look less 'plain'.

My brother had a lot of orchids and each time he broke them up, he would give some to those who wanted them, then throw the remainder over the back fence, where there was a flat area for about six feet, then an embankment down to a disused coal-train line. The line was then repaired and used for a commuter train to make one trip to town in the morning and one return trip in the evening.
Each September, it was fun to see the heads come out the windows of the train to look at the orchid display on the embankment.

Good morning/evening all, and welcome to Kenneth

I've had a pm from Diane and she is well.

CC storms are still here, a very disturbed night with very strong winds and squally showers. And even as I compose (which is better than decomposing) the thunder has returned. I've also heard an ominous clatter on the verandah roof but is still too dark, and wet to investigate.

Sorry, Kenneth, I live in WA in Australind about 160 kms south of Perth.

To all, with regard to the photos does anyone have any objectios if I send them to you as a group? I think that I have most email addys now but realise that some folk enjoy their privacy and would prefer that things are sent individually.

Please let me know

Good Morning/Evening,

CC............Budgies succeed as well you know.
At least I don't get banished from the house to watch F1.

Hi Allan,I hope you get improved weather today, maybe it's the cats clattering on the verandah, unless they're hiding under the bed.

I also had PM from Diane, she sends her love to everyone.

Good evening Tec,

As you will see from my last post, there is no change in the weather. Once it gets light I will be able to assess the damage!

I think that the pic of the peas and beans may be all that we have left :0((
