Glad the puppy is doing well. Washing on the line is a great temptation to any puppy.
When we had our two labrador puppies they slept in the kitchen. One morning we came down to find they had emptied all the kitchen cupboards.
We had a grand mix of torn cardboard boxes, cornflakes, weetabix, tins with teeth punctures in and leaking, soap powder, etc etc.
I went out that day and bought child proof fasteners for all the cupboard doors.

Yes CC, the forest cats are handsome beasts, my daughter's is tabby with a large white bib. He get brushed daily by my grand daughter, but no one is allowed to touch his tummy, if you try, he will give you a swift swipe.Although he thinks he is Top Cat of the neighbourhood, he met his match the other day. He roams about in the field for hours hunting. The other day my daughter looking out of the bedroom window spotted him running for his life toward home, hotly pursued by three of the Canada Geese that nest in the field every year. He just made it over the back fence before they caught up with him.

I rather thought that Allan may be kind enough to lend you the Maids uniform, on the basis that it probably looks better on you than him, and that you wouldn't have knobbly knees and hairy legs.
Should you be wondering, the Maids Uniform is rather like the maid wears in "Allo Allo" that would suit you fine I think.
Red mini skirt and red stillettos would be detrimental to the well being of Allan and I, both being of a delicate disposition.

Happy birthday to the thread. I hope you have all behaved well in my absence. We got back about tea time, but have been on cinema duty this evening. I came home early because I am shattered. I slept really badly for the last few nights and can hardly keep my eyes open

Welcome back Linda,
We have all been extremely well behaved. Hope you enjoyed your time away, even if you didn't sleep to well. Maybe you will appreciate your own bed, and feel better tomorrow.

Good evening/morning every one

People have been talking about funny names: I have found a link to a family called Kewsion

I haven't found the parents yet but the daughter was called Ellie and had a very posh accent!

The son was named Percy and became a famous despot.

As with most families, there was a bit of scandal. The daughter fell in love with her father and thereafter became known as Electra Kewsion.

And don't even get me started on the Dendron family whose daughter was called Rhoda.

Welcome back Linda, how are your daughter and little Eve?

Hello everyone - and welcome back our Linda. Of course we behaved:-))

My son arrived yesterday to the great excitement of his niece and nephews. We had a lovely family dinner of lasagne and salad then sat and chatted about everything and nothing. It's not often I get my 3 children together so it was great.

Tec it's suprising what comes out of the woodwork with a bit of research!

As the baby termite said " I'm feeling full, mummy. May I please leave the table?" :0))

Evening Sue .....and good evening to the folks who said " good evening " to me last night . I had get off to bed last night ( worn out by baby Granddaughter , I'd been looking after her as her poor Mum is down with tonsillitis at the moment ) .

Edit to oops...should be saying Good morning to you lot ...lol

You must have had a lovely time with all three of your children Sue : )) I'm pleased for you .

Our veg patch is looking a bit happier as we have at long last had some lovely rain ( we have to lug all the water in watering cans as hosepipes aren't allowed on the allotments at all ) .......so at least our poor old backs have had a brief rest ...lol

Hello Amanda - hope your daughter is feeling better. I love family get-togethers. We've had water restrictions for years but they've downgraded the restrictions in the last year. People are so used to being careful with water I don't know why they they don't keep the restrictions on.

Allan I have a very funny "play on surnames" story that my OH downloaded for me but it's much too rude for this thread:-))

CC - I love the email you sent me. The images are very powerful but I have to say rather scary.

Good Evening Amanda,
Hard work carrying water - we've had rain for several days, so my garden has had a good soaking.
Hope your Granddaughter's mum is feeling better.

Good evening Amanda.

There are quite a few people in the UK use the thread, hence some of us just cover it all by saying good evening/ morning all when we first come on. :0))

Glad to hear that you have had some rain. In WA we have currently just gone through the sedond driest June on record, although the weather has now broken with severe storms here last Sunday/Monday.
