Hello all - I'm late this morning as we had a late night last night. Dinner at my daughter's - all the family together again:-)) Groans when the camera came out, deep discussions about politics, economy etc., childhood holidays and the disclosure of childhood secrets that we knew anyway:-)) Sound good? I've been on my own this week. Lots of visitors last week, but all gone away this week. Nice and peaceful - I've been having a lazy time.
With temperatures ranging from 16 to 19, it hardly seems like mid-winter, so although I prefer summer, I'm not complaining. We even had some rain - although not much of it and usually overnight.

CC, that confirms family talk that one of our male ancestors was well.....never mind we won't go into that one! :0))

I'm afrain I can't stay to-day. It's time to restock the supply of medications and time to give the car a good run. It's sunny outside (and warm in the car) so I'm off before the weather changes it's mind. I'll look in later, as I usually do, but there isn't always someone there. I can only try.

good something or other. We had lots of rain yesterday which was great and it was raining again this morning which is not so great as OH has gone out with his rambling club.

It is very nice to see you around again Berona. even if we are on different time scales.

Well after over ½ an hour trying I have finally got to the correct page.
I can get in to page one – but 1371-1378 – just sat on loading for a good 15 minutes so thought well will go to previous 10 pages – yep got them – back to this group – no good again. “Perse Perseverance is required” – got page 1371 then finally got to where I had made an entry this morning. Typed up a short message and then it promptly disappeared.
I am not sure why this thread gives me so much trouble – must be information overload with all the posts. ha ha.

Yes CC he is having cataracts done - we will be going next Thursday to have the other eye done. He had to take a tablet this arvo and that knocked him out – he would insist on watching a DVD that was taped on the hard drive – then complained as it was giving him eye strain using one eye to watch it all.
Mother ship has not beamed me up just yet Allan. I saw somewhere you are making progress in your tree – I take it it is thanks to Linda.. (where have you been away to this time Linda? - sorry couldn’t do a search to find out.) How’s the little blossom doing – thanks for the lovely photo of her?

I haven’t really caught up at all with the pages – and probably will give up trying at this pace.

I am working on a large tree for someone else and that has taken up a lot of my time. The accounts are all done and dusted and I have to get this years entered now. Plus himself has me out and about nearly every day of the week – either renovations on the rentals or getting things sorted for this place which we are also doing up. Should see the mess in this room – he has pulled out built in shelving and a sort of cupboard and made more space in here – next it will be wallpaper stripping and then painting etc. It is a strange room it had two windows (they are just glass panes don’t open) high up – the other side of them is the hallway. Whoever did the alterations in this place in the seventies had some strange ideas. I mean to say there were four arches in the lounge and three more leading to the dining and kitchen areas – they came down very quickly after we had moved in.

Good to see you Persey. My mum had both her cataracts done. Naturally she was a little apprehensive before the first one, but afterwards she said it was a doddle and that I should tell people there is nothing to be worried about at all.
Little Eve is coming on a treat now. She is half a pound over her birth weight now which is good. I "talked" to her last night via the Skype video link. We are going down to see her in a couple of weeks time.

I had been to see my sister for a couple of days and then we went on to a hotel for a couple of days to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary. I can't believe that i have put up with him for all that time, I of course am perfect !!!!!

We spent the first couple of years in this house undoing the shoddy workmanship of the previous owners, they seemed to have had everything done on the cheap.

Hello ladies. I'm having such problems with our internet connection. Very frustrating. I was putting the family tree on to Ancestry and it cut out - luckily I didn't lose the info. I had put on. GR is loading very slowly for me too Persey. I gave up this morning.

Linda - it's lovely that Eve is coming along so well. Has your daughter settled into being a mum?

I am not here, i am tidying the house, honestly I am !
My daughter seems to have taken to the baby very well Sue, she is just really tired of course. She is still having to express her milk, then put it in a bottle, which of course takes up precious time, but the baby is showing a bit more interest in getting it for herself. It is still eight days before she was due to be born, so hopefully she will get the hang of it soon.

I must say that she is a very advanced baby. at only two weeks old, she has her own email address and her own page on Facebook.
She even had the following message on her Facebook page

"Eve installed the Facebook for iPhone application to her phone"

She has her own page so all the photos and video clips can go on there. There is a cute video of her having her first piano lesson lol.
