The only problem I have is that with all the digital caneras that we have had in the house, every time we put the discs in to get the instructions photo manipulation programs are also downloaded. I have to sort that out so that we are only using one program!

I've seen that joke. It was a good one.

There was also one a few years ago that asked if you wanted a free coff cup holder to attach to your pc. If you pressed "yes" your CD tray would pop open!

Oh dear. I've missed Linda again. I was here at 23:00, but it took me 27 minutes to 'catch up'.

Sue - the son may have a mental problem of some kind and there are laws regarding their admission to hospital. I know of a few cases where a Bipola woman must present herself to the hospital - her parents can't force her. The alternative is that if she starts going berserk, someone can call the police and they can take her to the hospital.
Another case is a woman who needed to be 'committed' and her parents had to physically lock her out of the house with a suitcase full of her belongings. The authorities were waiting at the front gate to collect her and take her to the hospital, but at the last moment, the parents couldn't bring themselves to do it - and the others had to go away as the law didn't permit them to come in and take her.
Perhaps your neighbour has a similar problem.

Berona - it looks like much the same situation. I did wonder if the poor fellow may be schizophrenic and has come off his medication. Whatever the problem it's very sad. Of course drugs or alcohol may be the problem but somehow we didn't think so.

I went for a lovely drive yesterday. Makes me feel like going again to-day. It was lovely and warm in the car - not much traffic - very pleasant. I haven't used the car much over recent weeks and had to use the battery charger. First time I've used it and it worked! but I'm back to being able to drive it so my weekly outings have been resumed.

I drove past the fruit market yesterday. To-day, I think I'm getting low on fruit and vegetables. So, I'm off. Talk again to you later.

Without the presentation and music it doesn't really 'work'

On my machine I can start most PP presentations with the F5 key.

I've also checked the properties of the file and neither the Read Only , nor Hidden boxes are checked.

We'll hae to call in Miss Marple to solve the mystery.

Hello Carole. Looks like I've missed you by a few hours but what the heck - I can still say hello. Hope your Mum is improving and your weather is too. We are having warm sunshine and clear skies - but low temperatures (and even lower overnight!).

Didn't you get a photo of our newest arrival? I did - after I screamed for it! Let me tell you, she is a beauty! Made me feel all clucky again.

Allan, i would like to see your presentation as well.Hopefully I will be able to run it. This computer is windows 7 and everything is so different. I go to do things I have been doing for years and nothing is called the same thing, or is in the same place but I am gradually getting used to it

It is incredibly windy here this morning. I woke up earlier when there was a clattering noise from the bathroom . The window was open and the blind was down, the wind had made the blind knock things onto the floor. The toilet is next to the window and a plastic bottle of face cleanser had landed in the toilet. I am sure it will be fine once I wash it down lol
