Hello everyone from a soggy Wales,

Hope everyone is well, and that Sue is feeling more like a 17 yr old today,
Berona you're up and running early this morning, Allan I hope you clear the lounge before your OH gets up, or there'll be trouble. Pam I hope you find your brother improving in Sydney.
CC....I did check out the YouTube site you posted, thanks for that.

Tec.

Good evening, Tec.

I think that the floor will be out of commission for a couple of days.

Once the photos are sorted I will start on the slides, nearly 1000 of them!

Talk about de-ranged bins.
The villa complex where I am is built on what was two house blocks - both of which had long back yards - allowing for ten villas and four double-storey units.

We have a double drive entrance in the centre and a single drive at one side. On the other side of our frontage, we have a bus-stop.

Can you imagine what is left of only two frontages when we place our bins out? Fourteen one week and twenty eight on the other week!

We also get people with surplus vehicles who park in the gutter where our bins are. Consequently, we can find our bins anywhere within a hundred yards of our address and on either side of the road - according to the temperament of the garbologists!

Gosh Allan, You'll be there for ever! but good you've made a start.

Linda seems to have gone AWOL -I wonder where she's hiding?

Hello Tec. I do feel like a 17 y.o. but OH says I can't have one.

Berona we have the "big" council pickup this month so the footpaths are littered with all sorts of things. Every now and then someone with a van or trailer will stop to have a look at the piles and remove bits and pieces. Half of what we put out has disappeared. Not that there was much with us having a rubbish skip not long ago.

I was wondering where Linda is too.

Sue - that would only bring more washing, ironing, and tantrums :)))

Wouldn't you know it? Each day, I get here in time (sometimes not even in time) to say goodnight to Linda.
Now, on the day that I could have had a good conversation with her - she's not here! Just my luck.

Our Council (Harvey Shire) will not provide us with a bulk rubbish collection, which we find frustrating as all the surrounding Councils provide such a service!

Our big cleanup is on now. We had to have the goods out by Sunday night - most of which has disappeared into the back of utes, boots, etc. They drive around all day looking for stuff.

We don't have a free bulk refuse collection. We are "allowed" to have four bulky items collected in a year, all at one time, and we pay £20 to the Council

Years ago my father noticed two lovely cane chairs on the footpath. He asked if he could take them (he was a very courteous man). Mum wasn't too pleased but he fixed them up and I made new cushions for them. Mum still has them although I think they're uncomfortable. It's amazing what people throw out.

There is a scheme in many parts of the UK called "Freecycle" on the internet. If you have something in good condition that you no longer want, you post it in your area on FreeCycle and people can collect it if they want it.

Allan, I suspect that if the bike had been left out by mistake, it may have disappeared in no time lol.
