Goodnight CC,
hope you get a good rest after all that dancing with George.

Good Morning Berona,
What do you think of this lot? they're all green with envy with you lol.

The gilding's wearing off the uniform a bit, to say nothing of its wearer.

Tec.

Good morning all. Well, it's morning here and it will be morning over there in less than ten minutes.

Having had a couple of month-long trips on liners, I very definitely agree that "clothes maketh the man" and I'm sure Tec would not disappoint us. Why do you think he is careful about what he eats? It's because he often sneaks the uniform out and tries it on to see if it still fits. I hope it does and if so, maybe he can wear it when we get our cruiser.

This cruiser is a long time coming. I hope we don't all fall off our perches before we win the lottery:-))

Don't be cynical Sue - I'll bet you will be one of the first up the gang-plank!

Well I did all right in last weeks jackpot lotto, I got six numbers.

It's just a pity that they weren't the same six numbers as those drawn!!

Ha Ha Berona - I used to be tall and slim, not exactly overweight now, but I'll never get back into those trousers again without going puce in the face.

Well bedtime again,
Enjoy your day Sue, Berona, Allan,
I think all the Poms have already gone, except for Diane,

~~~~~~~~to Diane, and cwtches to Carole,
Goodnight,
Keep trying Allan. We are not fussy about who actually owns the cruiser, as long as we get one.
Edit - Goodnight Tec. Pleasant dreams.
Goodnight Tec - sleep tight.
As much as I'm enjoying the light repartee I must also take my leave. Enjoy the day Allan and Berona.
I must away too. Haven't made the bed yet, although other things have been done in between posts.
I'm not going far. Need to catch up on my voluntary job for FreeBMD - transcribing the Index pages. So, I won't be far away and will probably pop in here when having a break between pages. Talk to you all later.
Have a nice day.
Found a convict down Illawara way, now feel like royalty. So now know why we never spoke about my grandmother's family line. But with a name like Jones research was difficult. Just returned from o/seas and went to Mecca (National Archives at Kew).
Hello Di - and welcome to the Aussie thread. We have just celebrated our first birthday.
We have a mixture of Aussies and Poms here with a dash of Welsh and Kiwi so we talk at any time of the day. Just add a post and it will be answered. If not straight away - it will be answered sooner or later.
I am a novice at this but perhaps I will soon get the hang of it. I have read quite a bit of the background here and there on the "For Aussies only.." pages.
It would seem I want to know exactly what uniform Tec wears. Everyone loves a man in uniform. I am a champagne, diamonds, and chocolate lady, and I love to dance. The last thrill was learning a tango in Rio de Janeiro in December 2008 when dancing with the owner of a family of champagne makers. He told me I was the best dancer there... so I want that engraved on my headstone. Although in June I did waltz in St. Marks Square in Venice with my husband... something we had done years before. But by the time you take into account his bad back, the aches and pains, the arthritus, the gloss goes out of the scene. You may have heard of Manly in Sydney well Ihat is my general region. The ancestors are Scottish, Canadian, English - Shropshire and Danish. AussieDi.
Hello Dianne, welcome to the thread. I am not an Aussie, I live in Yorkshire, god's own county
My husband has a genuine convict in his tree, I have all of his records, but he disappeared without trace after his ten years was up.(The convict not my husband)
My sister lives in Shropshire, I was there only two weeks ago.
Oops, I am not here, I had better spray some polish in the air before OH comes back. See you later
Hello Dianne - welcome to our thread and despite what CC says we are all mad. I'm in the Illawarra but I'm not a convict:-)) Come back again and join the fun.
It's been raining lightly all afternoon. I didn't want to go to yoga tonight because it was so cold but I did and I'm glad. We tried some poses that we haven't done before and I didn't do too badly.
So now I feel very mellow but that could be the glass of wine I had when I got home:-)) Talk to you all later.
Hello Dianne - Welcome to the Funny Farm. I'm known as Tec, and live in the land of Myth and Legend - Wales.
Not sure if I'm a Myth, or a Legend, matter of opinion I guess.
CC..... I resent being described as a relic - you may have a point, but you don't have to be so cruel.
Hope everyone is having a good day/night wherever you are.
Tec.
Hello everyone.....an welcome Diane ( I only wandered in here a week or so ago and it's a lovely thread bursting with wonderful people ).
Sue ...yoga ! I've always liked the sound of that but with my " demented " pelvis I won't dare to try .......I'm pleased you find it so relaxing .
CC ....I 'm looking forward to seeing the " Knees Up Mother Brown ".....and I admire your energy level tremendously.
Tec ....you are a Legend.....you live in the Mystical West : )
I feel guilty now as Linda has her polish out and all I can see if I drag my eyes off the PC is dust , dust . dust......why I have I got so many blasted ornaments !
Yesterday we had a full on Thunder storm.....with lots of delicious rain ....I felt most exhilarated by the lightening and am wondering if I'm part Frankenstein's monster .....lol
Amanda2003 Report 23 Jul 2010 20:28
Hello CC .....I'm here , no need to eye me with suspicion , I'm not really related to Frankenstein's monster ( but I do have a jacket with sleeves that are ever so slightly too short ....lol ) .
How are you this evening ?
Tecwyn
Tecwyn Report 23 Jul 2010 21:11
Good Evening CC,
Good Evening Amanda,
Just come in from hacking at things in the garden, and dead heading the roses - my new roses, planted in April are excellent, and have done really well for their first year.
This afternoon I "did" the supermarket. The tourists are here in their thousands, so stood muttering to myself at the end of a long queue at the checkout. Came home and went to "our" beach, where there is never anyone even at the busiest times. This is because there is no vehicular access to the beach, and because everyone passes through our village
to get to other places. My old dog used to chase the seagulls, but like me, he doesn't chase anything anymore.
Amanda, I'm pleased to see you had rain at last - I find it hard to believe there was any left after what fell on us. It rained for days and was coming horizontally off the mountain
CC....You are right, even I am not old enough to be a legend, and I'm not a myth - my sister is a Myth, and lives in Ethics.
Sue, I hope you didn't tie yourself up in knots - going about with your left foot behind your right ear is not very becoming.
Linda, Are you still flitting about with the spray polish, or did you find something useful to do today?
Tec.
