Little Eve is doing well thanks Diane. She got weighed today and has put on a pound since she was born. Today was her due date, so she is going to be like the queen and have areal birthday and an official one

The Blue John Mines were fantastic. I used to go to Castleton fo a drink on a Friday night and would then take the Winnats Pass road to head back to Manchester.

I used to do my courting there!

Tec you asked if I had done anything useful today other than polishing.

We went out for lunch to a new mill outlet which has opened near here. It is actually more of an out door clothes place. I wanted to buy some new walking sandals, as opposed to sandals for walking in. The ones I had fell to bits when we were in Crete and I had to bin them, they were only twenty years old, things just don't last these days. They didn't have any, so we went on to Richmond to look there. I couldn't find what i wanted there either.

After that I went to the allotment to pick some of the gooseberries, viscous little things they are.

I saw a "Blue John" vase on an antiques show, it was worth a vast amount, apparently very difficult to "work"

An amazing story out of Perth:

A man was attacked by a group of hens which pecked at his legs and feet. The hens then ran off but reappeared a short time later, repeated the attack and again ran off.

This happened to the poor chap several times.

The police suspect that it was fowl play!!

That's better:-)) I have stones from many places that we've visited here and overseas. I have them in the garden or plant pots. I also gather pine-cones and the like from our travels but only here in Australia because I can't bring them from overseas.

Sue ..........I'm starting to think we might actually be the same person .....I have various stones in the garden ( and a few of my late Dads crystal beds ) and I can't come back from a walk in the woods without some sort of " treasure " to contemplate .
