goodevening/morning everyone

Hi Janet, it is good to be back among friend's again, well you are a busy lady at the moment and I don't envy you, I have made many house move's myself over the past 25yrs( 6 in all ) all on my own mind you, so I know how it is doing all that packing and then unpacking when you arrive very tireing work.

Hello Berona great to be back with you all and yes I know I have a partner in crime with CC and the other similarity we both have is we both have FM which as CC know's has a lot to do with us being around for the late shift, mind you I don't know how she has managed to do all that danceing the last few day's, she must have taken all her pain killer's at once to help her ( flying high eh CC ) lol.

Tec good to see you takeing such good care of OH, wish I had some-one to look after me so well lol.

CC how are the feet this evening, I think you should have a rest tonight or should I say give the men a break or you will wear them out.

A book about the something or other anniversary of the chapel was published by the current minister and I managed to get a copy of it. It had a family tree in it, but I saw some mistakes in it. according to the records, three brothers were sent out specifically to try and make money. Two came back after a while. In fact the third one also came back, but only to marry his cousin and go back out again with a whole tribe of relatives. It is so difficult to try and untangle.

Good morning/evening all.

I trust that every one is well!

yesterday was a bit of a funny one. OH and I have decided that we are accumulating too much junk. So what did we do?

Visited a couple of garage sales and purchased some junk form others to add to our own pile!! We are like a couple of dragons who hoard gold, not for its value, but for the sake of hoarding.

All was not wasted however as I picked up a slide projector for $3.00. It is the same make as mine and works. At the very least I will be able to use the bulb if the one in my projector blows.

As new bulbs, if you can still buy them, cost in the vicinity of $20.00 i think that I have a bargain.

Plus we got some prints of Perth to go with the ones we got of Fremantle.

I think that it is time for us to have a garage sale!!!

Glad you liked the photos. We are planning on going to Margaret River soon once the weather improves. I'll take some of the general area.

You should have a garage sale Allan, then you could buy lots of wine when you go to Margaret River.

Hello Diane. No keeping me up late tonight, I am going to turn in at a respectable hour

Good Evening Diane,

I doubt you would enjoy being looked after by me, you'd never get your meals on time, and when you did, you'd wonder what it was - by my OH hasn't been poisoned yet lol.

Amanda, I bet you get as much fun out of your modest little craft as the rich and famous do in theirs.Think of all the entertaining of all those painful people you'd have to do.

Linda, That all sounds very complicated - have you made contact with anyong in Geelong?

Good Morning Allan,

That was a good find you had, so it was well worth the visit. I shouldn't worry about all the junk you want to get rid of. I bequeathed all mine to my daughter, so she can have the pleasure of filling skips, truck loads to the auctioneers - she'll have a field day lol.

Tec,

One of the saddest sales we went to yesterday was one held at a deceased persons house. The relatives were selling everything and I'm sure that they weren't aware of the value of some items.

Somehow we could not bring ourselves to buy anything from there.

I'll make sure my children know what is worth money and what isn't with the stuff we own!

Tec, I have seen a tree for someone in Geelong who would be related, but her tree is so wrong. (I have lots of certs to prove it). I wanted to try and sort the to[ of the tree out before I made contact, but non conformist records are so difficult to trace.

Hello Diane and morning Allan .

It sounds as if you've had a busy and productive day Allan . I hope the bulb holds out well .

Yes Tec , we do have fun on the boat . I don't go out on her , did it once , never again !! scared the living daylights out of me.........lol
We get away from time to time and spend the night aboard , fishing and sipping Rum ..........it's bliss . Mind you , you get woken up by a dawn chorus of sea gulls at silly o'clock in the morning .

Hello Amanda.

The day was good overall, and today we are having a Christmas in July just for OH and myself.

Roast turkey, roast vegetables, and I'm sure that there may even be a small Christmas Pudding in the freezer!

Hello Allan .............I was typing and hadn't seen your previous post . It must have been very sad to see a persons life time collection of stuff being sold like that . It always saddens me when family photos turn up at jumble sales / charity shops : (

Enjoy your July festivities ......are you having crackers and have they got jokes in them ? ......lol

Allan, I know exactly what you mean. I go to the local sale rooms, and often see the results of a house clearance where somebody had obviously died. Some things should never appear at open sale, surely there are relatives who would want the photo albumns sp, ect. You see sad little things like an old lady's sewing box, complete with little momentos of that persons life.
On the subject of values, my daughter is quite mercenary, and knows very well the value of things here, she may not want them, but she will make sure she doesn't give them away.

Amanda, I get woken every morning to the racket of seagulls sitting on my roof, and jackdaws in the trees, sometimes they fight, and the noise is unbelievable.

Linda, Many of my relatives were non-conformist, and yes, it is difficult.

Tec.
