Good morning Berona

Amanda, from what I have seen one place looks very much like another, particularly the Cities.

You really have to travel in Australia to appreciate the vastness of the country and the different scenery.

Apart from going to conferences I have hardly ventured out of WA although for 3 years after arriving we did live in a unique region, the North Eastern Goldfields of WA

Since then we have lived in Bunbury in the South West.

Good Morning Berona,

Hope you are well this morning - I would never cast any aspersions on scousers, some of the best friends I had were from Liverpool, and a constant laugh to be with.
We never seem to have any in this part of Wales, not even on holiday, which is strange.

Tec.

Well Tec maybe I should be your first one, if I needed a place to stay you could let me know were there is cheap B+B and I would be able to visit you.

Yes, Tec. Steam trains do run on special excursions. My dtr's FIL is a train enthusiast and he takes trips on these quite often. If not for that, I wouldn't know that they were running at all, except for seeing a trip advertised under "entertainment".

Hope I have caught you this time BEFORE you retire for the night. Pleasant dreams to you and the duchess.

Tec, there are still steam trains running in WA but they are now run by enthusiasts.

There is a train that runs from Pinjarra to Dwellingup and they do dinner runs and murder mysteries etc. I've not been on one yet.

Allan - the NSW train which does the excursions is the 3801. Just google that number and you should get a choice.

Good morning everyone.
we had an early start, or at least OH did. He took the car down to the garage so it can have it's ridiculously over priced part fitted, then he walked back.

We have a North Yorks steam train near here, I have been on it lots of times,we used to take th children on the Santa specials, but that was eons ago of course.

I never had a chance to comment on Tec and his mattress adventures. What really confuses me is how they advertise "No turn" mattresses and make a big thing about how suitable they are for older people, yet when you get them, the instructions tell you that you must turn them over for the first few months or you negate the warranty. Mum bought a new mattress last year and it was sold on the no turn basis, yet that is exactly what the instructions said. As I changed her bedding for her, I just used to turn it over myself. but it never swallowed me Tec.

Our mattress is no turn as well, but it has two different types of flocking on it. One side is cotton and the other is wool,so you are supposed to use them for different seasons, which means you have to turn it over of course.

CC, Tec has not lost all of his hair, he is very proud of his full head of hair. I don't know about his teeth though.

We are all keen researchers, but we also like to chat to each other. Some of us are in the UK, I am, others are is Australia. We just post and eventually someone replies. It is difficult given the time zones, but we manage. this thread has been going for a year now. We also help each other behind the scenes with our research.
