Good evening / good morning to everyone .

CC I have come to the conclusion that the " CC " in your name really stands for Closet Cleric ......what with your bill filing system and now your ingenious BMD forms !! ...... do you have civil servants in your ancestory I wonder ? : ))

I've only caught the Heir Hunters programme once or twice as the watching of day time telly is frowned on in our house .........lol

Amanda2003 Report 28 Jul 2010 20:21

LOL....CC will you mentally file that Klingon insult away under " K " for Klingon or " I " for Insult ......just in case you ever run into one and need to upset it ?

Day time TV is tosh isn't it ........ mind you I don't watch TV much as I'm always on here of an evening . I get to listen to programmes , especially and films etc as OH always has them turned up very loud ! I'm sure he is going a bit Mutton Jeff .......lol

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 28 Jul 2010 20:34

CC I'm fairly conversant with the Trekki thing...... lol my OH watches all the Sci-Fi that he possibly can and it has rubbed off on me ........but I don't claim to have a Klingon dictionary . Have you dressed up and gone to conventions and all that ?

I found the last Star Trek film to be the best and was very impressed how they had been able to find a cast that was so believable as the young Kirk crew . I really did enjoy the film .

( I might get called away in awhile as I'm expecting a phone call from a friend , so if I seem not to be replying that will be the reason ) .

Your in for a real treat then CC when you do get to see the film .

The chap who plays MCoy is spot on and yes the young Spock is also most plausable........they ALL are ..............I want to watch it again now .....lol

I've never been to Goathland - in fact I've never been much further North th an Lancaster - I think I went to Leeds once, but wasn't paying attention.

Thank you for the poem?
Given that nobody is more amazed than me that I'm still here, I doubt very much I will achieve 84yrs.
For the record, I do still have all my own hair, but have been lacking a full set of teeth since I was 16, four are plastic - but I don't have a wooden leg, or a glass eye, or two left feet.

Good Evening to you Tec,
I'm not to bad today and not been in as much pain as I have been of late, CC doesn't need any of encouragement from me hun she is a law unto herself. Got to admit though she put a smile on my face. How are you and your OH taday ,well I hope and did you get some of the sunshine like me after the rain this morning.

GoodEvening Linda,

Glad you're a little better Diane, we are ok thankyou, it was a nice day here too, we didn't actually have any rain, though some very threatening clouds at times, it was quite humid.

Good evening Linda, how has your day been hun.

CC I don't think anyone will be as good as David Tennant was and I miss him a lot , I felt sorry for Matt Smith when he stepped into David's shoe's but he hasn't done to badly and play's the Dr his way, he had a lot to live up to after David.

I'm just going to disappear for a while so I can take washing out of machine and also have my evening meal, yes I know it's late but when am I ever early with anything lol.
Back soon

I was saying that Goathland is Aidensfield, plus they did lots of filming in Whitby.
The railway line runs from Pickering to Grosmont, but some of the trains go on into Whitby.
I didn't say, but Goathland is a station between Pickering Grosmont, it was used in the harry Potter films as well.

I was editing because I got the villages the wrong way round when i first typed it

My day has been fine Diane. I made a large vat of pasta sauce, the smell of the Basil was lovely. I also pickled even more beetroot

Good evening to Tec as well, I hope you have recovered from being hauled about by CC

I found this CC

Heartbeat, from Yorkshire TV, is set in the 1960s, and features the community of Aidensfield and its police force. The village of Goathland is in the North York Moors National Park and features as the village of Aidensfield. The Aidensfield Stores are used as the Post Office, and the Goathland Hotel features as the Aidensfield Arms. If you're lucky, as we were, then it's possible to visit Goathland and see them filming (picture 3). Goathland's railway station and the preserved North Yorkshire Moors Railway also appear in the series. (Note:- Goathland station appears as Hogsmeade station in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone).

Aidensfield police house is actually in Askwith and the police station is 60 miles away, in Otley! (Just like it would be if the series was representative of life now!) The fishing port of Whitby is often used as a location.

Good morning/evening to one and all.

CC, I would see your GP about that little tribble you mentioned earlier. You really shouldn't be tribbling like that unless it is no tribble to you.

Good evening to Amanda, Diane, Linda and Tec.

A little joke I read yesterday:

A helipcopter loses power over a remote Scottish Island and the pilot makes an emergency landing.

There's a cottage nearby so the pilot knocks on the door. "Is there a mechanic in the area?" he asks the woman who answered the door.

She thinks for a minute " Nae Laddie, but we do have a McArdle and a McKay"

Well I laughed at it anyway!!
