It isn't me

we need to add our names to Sue's list as well :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Nov 2014 19:23

Have you seen the list going to Sue's :-0 :-D

I also hope my grand daughter stays for her masters. She is undecided at the moment. I don't think that she has a job lined up, though she has a job next summer with a company that specialises in her field.

It was a lovely day here - so I was in the garden sweeping dead leaves.
I found a pot that I planted last year with bulbs that are already showing, that surprised me.
I've taken them indoors to see if the warmth will force them into early flower. I think they are miniature daffs - tete a tete.

Good Lord - who's that flitting about the dance floor? :-D :-D :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Nov 2014 19:07

Oh it is a shame you didn't get out for lunch Tec, maybe next week

Sue won't mind will she :-(

I hope your granddaughter does stay on for her masters, but if she has a job lined up with the ordinary degree, it wouldn't matter so much

it has been a dreary afternoon, so I have just had a nice lazy day pottering around

Tecwyn Report 30 Nov 2014 17:29

Methinks that you are going to be in the most awful trouble when Mother sees what you've volunteered her for :-D

Lunch at the Indian in Fairthingy didn't happen as one of our luncheon club has visitors - maybe next week.

So I spent a few hours in the garden sweeping up dead leaves mostly.

Carole , Congratulations to your son on his graduation. Better to take time considering his options than rushing into anything. Meanwhile I hope he enjoys the camping trip - have the washing machine on standby :-D
Glad that your daughter is enjoying her Uni days.
My granddaughter is on her third year, and was to do another year taking her Masters, but that option is on/off at the moment, though I hope that she stays, as it will enhance her chances of a job at the end of it.

Sue, I have volunteered you to host everyone when they visit Oz for Christmas, I knew you wouldn't mind :-D

See the Australia meet thread for a list of who is coming

Thanks Linda and Berona,

Linda, he is off camping with a few of his mates in the morning, that should be interesting for him as he has never been camping in a tent, do him good though!

Berona, I shall post the photo for you on your page :-)
Yes, the election result was a surprise for me. I'm not much into politics really :-S

Congratulations to your daughter on her continued uni success Carole. I hoe your son can find something he wants to do soon. In the meantime he has those lovely long summer days to look forward to :-D

It is a nice sunny winters morning here, but being Sunday, it is a nice lazy reading the papers sort of day

Congratulations to your youngest on his graduation. Is that the end of school for you?
I had a look at your photos but couldn't decide which one was the 'family' one. You will have to guide me - and tell me who is who.

Was the result of the election a surprise?

Oh Sylvia, how did you go 3 days without coffee, I'd die. I looove my coffee :-)

Hi everyone :-)

Its a lovely warm day down here, 34 degrees, although I'm staying in with the cooling on. I'll venture out to do my grocery shop later this afternoon.

I forgot to mention the other day...My youngest has graduated year 12, although he has no idea what he's going to do next. He was planning to go into a trade, but he has since changed his mind.
There was a family photo on facebook that K had put up, nice photo too :-) I shall have to frame that one for sure.
K has completed her second year of Uni, she is doing very well :-)

Good night Linda xx

Quinoa .............. is an ancient grain that is all the rage here. I really don't like it ................ but people serve it cooked but cold in salads, or done into a mushy type of thing instead of potatoes.

off for our second visit to the coffee shop today :-)

Tec ............... you'll probably be in bed by the time we get back. Sleep tight xxx

and enjoy your lunch tomorrow.

I hope the house is nice Persie.

I am going to read because OH is watching football, so I will say goodnight

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 29 Nov 2014 22:26

What is a Quinoa night Sylvia?

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 29 Nov 2014 22:24

I agree .............. too much "fancy ancy" with many meals!

Our favourite restaurant doesn't serve big meals, they are nicely presented ............. but there are usually 3 or 4 veggies on the plate, as well as a carbohydrate.

I always hope that it is not a quinoa night :-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 29 Nov 2014 22:21

Hope you find the house interesting Persie - Bye,

What was the English/Aussie result Linda? - I haven't heard

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 29 Nov 2014 22:17

I know what you mean Persie,

I like a meal to be nicely presented on a plate, unless of course it's silver service.
I don't need to know that there is an art director working in the kitchen.

Why when you order some sort of sweet is there invariably a squiggle of colourful sauce dribbled across the plate - I don't need that.

a cantankerous old goat?
