Well, I did keep one bar of chocolate out, just to sample for quality control purposes you understand :-D

Trying to sleep in hospital is hopeless,so I should think she is sleeping Sylvia. I hope she is at home and not hanging around until they get round to realising her

Good Evening Linda,
Good Morning Sue,
Good Afternoon Sylvia,................

It has been a dark, wet, windy day here also.
I went into town for a haircut, and to pick up a prescription, so got very wet, but managed to stay upright in the wind :-D

Sylvia I hope that you hear from your daughter soon. Maybe she is home, but resting.

Christmas goodies should be put away in a safe place, so as not to succumb to temptation.
Don't forget where you put them though. :-D

Hello ladies :-)

I hope your daughter is feeling so much better, Sylvia.

Our local Aldi store is full of lovely Christmas goodies - mostly chocolate coated things. I don't think I could resist temptation :-(

Hi Linda

it's raining here, and so dark that I have the light on ................. in a room thta faces south, has a wall of windows on the south side, high windows on the east wall AND a skylight :-(

you can imagine how dark the rest of the house is :-(

I haven't yet heard from my daughter .................... hoping she has been released, and is sleeping (that's why I'm not phoning!)

Brr, it was really cold here when I went out to the supermarket. While I had time I also went to lidl and bought lots of nice goodies for Christmas, all I have to do now is not to eat them :-D

It must be annoying for your daughter to have to stay in overnight Sylvia, unfortunately some people do have a reaction to the anesthetic which makes them sick

I can just imagine your poor cat scuttling out of th way Berona. There is nothing wrong with talking to your cat, just as long as you don't think it is answering you back of course :-D

Not a bad day here so far, grey and overcast, but not raining yet. I have to go to the supermarket,so I hope it stays dry until I get back

Hope your daughter is all right now, Sylvia.
Hello everyone - you should be awake by now, but maybe not alert - and certainly not looking at your computers.
Another hot one here to-day. 29 when I checked a couple of hours ago - but I'm quite cool - just having trouble explaining to the cat that "it's hot outside!". I have to open the door to let her see it and feel it before she believes me. I'm sure that she now understands what I mean whether it's hot or wet outside. She always approaches the door more carefully when I say that. No, I don't normally talk to my cat - but the odd familiar phrase and instruction come out often. The one used most these days is 'lookout' as I come through pushing my 'wheels'.

Hi Sue, and everyone

It rained today .............. it was heavy enough last night to wake us up as it beat down on the skylight :-(

we were out for most of the afternoon ................ we had consecutive appointments at the doctor's

OH's colonoscopy results were fine ................ as we'd suspected after no-one phoned within 2 weeks after the tests were done.

My 6 monthly check-up was fine .................. it's 3 years since I had the operation. :-0 I also had my flu shot, and, as always, bp checked

so we've passed the MOT :-D

daughter had a minor op under general anaesthetic today, expected it to be a day operation, in at ca 10 am , out by ca 5 pm .................. we came home to a message from her husband to say she had been sick after she came round, so they were keeping her in hospital overnight. :( He said to expect a phone call from her "tomorrow" (Friday)

and I had one of the strongest lattes ever at the coffee shop near the doctor's office on the university campus. I'm still wired from it 3½ hours later :-D

SueMaid Report 20 Nov 2014 22:54

There was an incident here of a lady who had been saving for an operation. She put the money into a DVDS case. She forgot where it was and gave away a load of stuff including the DVD to the Salvos. Her daughter knew which one it was but of course it wasn't there when she raced to the store. I have a friend who works in a Salvo store and she said that the staff check everything they get including CD and DVD cases. So perhaps a staff member took it. :-(

I have to make a couple of phone so I'll be off.

Goodnight Tec and Linda - sleep well <3 <3

Someone in Dolthingy recently sent thousands of pounds of jewellery to a local charity shop in an item of clothing :-(

it hasn't been traced

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 20 Nov 2014 22:32

That's a good idea Linda. Eve is such a girlie girl. Are the girls getting over their colds? It's a shame that Esme has lost weight- she was doing so well :-(
