I hope they are better by the time I have to go down in a couple of weeks, the adults are all ill as well. Esme has thrown all her food up for about ten days, so she has lost loads of weight just when she was doing so well

She was supposed to have an MRI scan this week, she has to have one every three or four months to check her brain, but she has to have a general anesthetic, so they couldn't do it

Such a shame that the baby is unwell, and that the party is cancelled. I hope that she is much better soon.

Also Eve and Esme get over their colds. Suppose it is inevitable to pick up bugs in school and nursery.
My daughter is constantly catching things from the children at school.
You would think that she would be immune by now.

Good evening friends :-D

I resumed my community driving today and took an old lady from one of the villages for a hospital appointment. Apart from that I haven't done much.

It is my great nieces first birthday today, but she is ill. She had to go to the hospital last night to because she had croup, they gave her some steroids to help her breathing through a teddy bear inhaler

They have cancelled her birthday party on Sunday so I don't have to do the food, good job I hadn't;' bought anything yet

We spoke to Eve and Esme on Skype, they all have dreadful colds as well

Off to bed now,

Enjoy your day Sue, and breakfast tomorrow,

Sleep well Linda,

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

Very common here mostly on Sunday mornings. Even more so in Sydney. I think it is a climate thing. Most of the cafes that do breakfast are seaside and have outside tables. The one we usually go to has outdoor heaters that keep the customers pleasantly warm on all but the coldest morning.

I am never fully awake before 11am, after at least two coffees :-D

Tecwyn Report 18 Nov 2014 22:45

It's a nice idea Sue, maybe something to do with the climate, but not a custom often seen here.

Perhaps they do that in holiday resorts - I don't know

Invites to morning coffee or lunch yes, but not breakfast - all very odd :-0

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 18 Nov 2014 22:41

A lot of cafes do breakfast. It's very relaxing to sit in the sun and eat the kind of breakfast that means you don't want to eat until tea time :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 18 Nov 2014 22:33

That's nice Sue - I hope you enjoy it :-)

people here would think I was strange if I invited them out to breakfast :-D

SueMaid

I am glad that you got it sorted |Sue. People are always good at complaining aboit things, but not good at volunteering to help

SueMaid Report 18 Nov 2014 21:56

Of course I'm behaving and the weather is nice and cool at the moment :-D

I am very satisfied at the outcome of the AGM yesterday. I spoke to the president and secretary before the meeting as I really didn't want to embarrass her in front of everyone. She apologized and said she would take it over and hopefully fix things up.

During the meeting the subject came up as it was on the agenda. A few people complained that they didn't like the menu, the date had been changed and that there is no free parking in town even on Sunday. I made the point that no one rang me regarding the menu and that the venue was chosen by the members at an open meeting knowing that the parking wasn't free. At that point the secretary told the group that she had made a mistake and that it was down to her that there was confusion regarding the date. She apologized to me and told the members that I could hardly know how they felt about the menu if they didnt contact me about it.

That is sad Sue, things like that can;t just be misplaced in another room

It really isn't worth taking anything of value there.

The Duchess told me today that the old clock in the entrance hall belonged to her grandmother :-)
