Dogs aren't allowed into the home, unless they are certified as what they call "Pat Dogs"
I forget what "Pat" means, but they have to be vetted to ensure they are suitable to visit homes.
Milo would be perfect for that as he is so placid, and some elderly people would welcome a visiting dog

Sue - the trouble is it's difficult to say no very often :-(

I think he assumes it will get better by itself Sue. Soft tissue damage takes ages to heal, it is improving, just taking its time.

Always so many demands on our time :-( My daughter asked if we can babysit the children this evening while they go out for dinner. I don't really mind but my daughter and SIL were late home yesterday evening and I just don't fancy going out again.

I definitely think our Linda should be first lady :-)

It seems odd to me that your doctor hasn't sent you to a specialist by now, Linda.

It is good that the other dog has settled and is being rehoused.

Couldn't you take Milo with you to visit the Duchess?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 6 Nov 2014 21:46

You could have a President :-D

Unlike urban areas, we don't have an abundance of tradesmen dealing with their own skill.

So village life means that anyone who can do anything wears a variety of hats, and is sought after.

We are just grateful to get anyone :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 6 Nov 2014 21:40

Well our economy is far larger than Wales and we have twice as many people, so we should rule ourselves

I can't be bothered to be first lady.

Why would a decorator go to unblock a toilet, shouldn't a plumber do that?

Tecwyn Report 6 Nov 2014 21:38

Hello Linda,

It's all getting a bit confusing.
Sue has asked me to mind Milo for a few hours tomorrow while she takes the other dog to her new home in Caernarfon.

Then Saturday my brother wants to come here, which means stretching the visit till Sunday :-(

Tecwyn Report 6 Nov 2014 21:35

I think if Yorkshire does go it alone,

then they should vote Linda as First Lady :-D

Hello,

will you be able to go and see the Duchess tomorrow Tec?

I have just been booking train tickets to go down to London for a couple of days at the start of Dec. My daughter has to go abroad to do an experiment for a couple of days, so I will go to help look after the girls

Good Morning Sue, :-)

There was something on the news about Yorkshire wanting to have it's own Regional Government. As against being ruled from faraway Westminster.

The has been much discussion about this in other areas of late.

Hello Tec - a uni* what of what? :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 6 Nov 2014 21:23

It is freezing here too.

Glad the x-ray showed nothing specific, but I wish that you could see a proper knee specialist.

Decorator turned up at 12 noon - left not long after to unblock someones toilet, or drain following a phone call - returned 2-30pm and worked till 4pm
He did manage to paint the ceiling.
So I never did get to visit the Duchess. Decorator said he will do a full day tomorrow, stating at 10am. So I shall leave him to it.

Is Yorkshire about to declare a Unilateral Declaration of Independence?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 6 Nov 2014 16:48

Brr, it is absolutely freezing

I went to see the doctor this morning to be told the xray showed no sign of bone damage or arthritis. No surprise there then. He just told me to come back in two weeks and he will decide if he should send me to see a specialist or not. I assume he thinks it will get better on its own, whatever "it" is

I then went for a spot of retail therapy, but din't stay that long

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 6 Nov 2014 08:30

Do you really live in a winy position Sylvia? Is that because of alcohol ,or are you cross :-D

I am off to the doctors, then for a spot of retail therapy, see you later

hope the UK-ites are now all tucked up in bed, and sleeping like babies :-)

and that Sue, Berona and Persie are enjoying their day

We're also in somewhat of a microclimate where we live .............. we're on a south-facing slope leading down to the river. We're usually 1-2C warmer than the "official" temperature at the airport ............. in a very exposed, winy position :-) ............. or even than downtown which is north of us.

it wasn't raining when we went to coffee ............. but it was certainly pouring down when we left :-(

it's going to be another dark wet evening and night :-(
