Berona also has a micro climate. She quite often doesn't get the weather we are or Sydney is. Who knows why.

I'm sorry but I need to go as we have someone coming to pick some stuff up. I can't answer the door in my dressing gown :-0

Sleep well Tec and Linda and enjoy the rest of your day Sylvia <3 <3 <3

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 5 Nov 2014 22:12

We seem to have our own little micro climate here. So often different from what's happening just ten miles away

We certainly seem to get better weather than that forecast.

The downside is the gales and storms coming in off the Irish Sea hit us hard as we are in the front line.

Silly me - of course it is travel insurance. It took us forever to get a payment for the windscreen that we broke in the UK.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 5 Nov 2014 22:00

It is our travel insurance policy Sue. As we go on several holidays each year, I take out a joint annual policy instead of taking insurance for each separate holiday

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 5 Nov 2014 21:58

Hello Linda :-) Is that your private medical insurance? Our insurance doesn't work that way. We pay an ongoing monthly payment although I do check now and then to see if there is a better deal elsewhere.

I thought it might be something to do with the narrow coastal strip we live on compared to the more widespread area of Sydney and suburbs.

I haven't heard a single firework tonight.

There was a big display somewhere locally on Saturday evening, went on for ages, must have had a lot of fireworks.

I believe there is a display at Fairthingy next Saturday.

That was a very nice thing for the store to do Sylvia

Good morning Sue, I am glad you didn't get rained out

I just had to go and rest the internet for the first time tonight

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 5 Nov 2014 21:44

Good Morning Sue, :-)

Maybe Sydney gets worse storms due to the heat rising from the City?

a boffin could explain this

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 5 Nov 2014 21:42

It goes without saying that your Ins premium will go up now that you've had cause to claim.

How dare you claim against them after paying them your money for years - what were you thinking about :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 5 Nov 2014 21:40

Hello everyone :-)

We had a day of thunderstorms yesterday. Nothing serious - just noisy. Then we turned on the news and saw the havoc that the storms wreaked in Sydney. The city always seems to get the storms so much worse than here.

Sylvia - that was a lovely gesture. No coffee :-0

I get to go and see the doctor early tomorrow so he can tell me that the xray was fine.
I got an email today telling me that they have paid the insurance claim minus the £65 excess

I also got an email the other day from the insurance company asking if there has been any change in our medical condition, doctors visits etc as we have an annual policy. I rang up to check as I am seeing the doctor about my knee. As the claim was ongoing, I have to ring again once it is settled,so they can no doubt demand lots more money to keep the policy going

Sorry that you had to do without coffee Sylvia - you'll be having withdrawal symptoms. :-D

Very nice gesture on the part of the Leggo store - very thoughtful of them :-)

Hi you two

Glad you had a nice lunch, Linda

it is a dull day today, after a lovely sunny day yesterday.

I had to go to physio yesterday, then a quick drive home ................... missing out on having our afternoon coffee :-(

........................ but seeing our niece and her son from Whitehorse for a couple fo hours :-)

The son had an assessment at the big children's hospital here .............. nothing serious, but the docs all thought let's get it done now and get an answer

Then they went to a lego store in a nearby mall .................... they bought some stuff, and our niece made a passing comment about just having been at the hospital ..............

and the salesman turned round and said " we have a little special free gift for any child who comes in after a visit to the children's hospital"!

wasn't that nice?!

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 5 Nov 2014 21:28

Glad that you enjoyed lunch, shame about Tesco's though :-D

I don't suppose OH minded being used as a pack mule, seeing as you are injured.

I will just leave the decorator to it if he turns up. He has everything he needs up there.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 5 Nov 2014 21:23

We did have a nice lunch Tec, we went to one of the posher pubs in the area ,we didn't take Sue there :-D

The we rather spoilt it by going to Tesco. As OH was there, I got quite a lot of stuff so he could hump it about

Typical that the decorator didn't turn up. I think it is going to rain tomorrow,so hopefully he will come. You should be able to leave him to it while you see the Duchess
