Yes they did well to keep the score down

Tecwyn Report 4 Nov 2014 21:38

I think Liverpool did well to hold Madrid to a 1-0 score. :-)

Oh not for years yet, Linda ;-)

I would love to see Snowdonia in the snow but that means going over to the UK in Autumn/Winter. I don't think OH would agree to that :-)

Never mind Sue, you will have your own card very soon :-D :-D

I cancelled my Sky tv subs as we were paying for things we rarely watched. Instead bought a box that runs off the Sat dish and no contract or subs with anyone.

We need to run off the Sat dish here as we get such poor reception on an arial because the mountain blocks the signal.

First snow of the winter in Snowdonia today. So when I drive round the Bay I will see snow capped Snowdon in the distance - love it :-D

OH loves all the deals pensioners get. He whips that pension card out on many an occasion :-D

I think losing by five is a bit harsh :-D but I think they will lose. They seem to be holding their own so far, even if they are one down.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Nov 2014 21:16

I think Linda loves the football ;-)

We get annoyed with our satellite television company. They often offer good deals to rope in new customers. I rang them awhile back about this and asked what they would do for us as loyal customers. They offered us an extra service that normally costs a bit extra each month - they said we could have it free of charge. We were happy with that :-)

Naturally :-D

Eve's daddy os a huge Liverpool fan, he was expecting them to lose by about five goals

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Nov 2014 21:11

Linda - are you engrossed in the football? :-D :-D :-D

I use the comparison sites for house insurance as well

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Nov 2014 21:09

I get cross about that too Linda,

which reminds me I want to shop around for a better deal with house insurance.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 4 Nov 2014 21:07

It is the same with the car insurance, we have to go through the rigmarole of getting new quotes, then the company we are with ends up matching them

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Nov 2014 21:05

Good Morning Sue, :-)

It is worth letting these companies know how you feel. So often they can back off with new charges for those that bother to complain.

I get so annoyed with banks and Ins Co who have good deals for new customers, while fleecing loyal old customers.

I wouldn't be able to negotiate the underground now, so everywhere will have to be by black cab.

Will take the lightweight wheelchair for trips to St.James's and Green Parks, but hopefully will be more used to Archie when visiting Museums and Galleries - we'll see.

Good morning Sue.

Well you need to save money as you are pensioners, or your oH is

SueMaid Report 4 Nov 2014 20:59

Hello everyone :-D

Our internet is very slow at the moment. We are waiting for the Government's "National Broadband Network" to be switched on. All the hard work has been done but for some reason there is a delay. It is supposed to be so much faster - we'll see. We can go through our current provider and we will as our phones and internet are all with the same company. They were going to charge us more for the NBN but OH wasn't having that. He told them that we are long term customers and he didn't see that he should be paying more. He told them he would be getting prices from other providers. They rang back and told him that we could go on with the old price :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 4 Nov 2014 20:56

There are lots of good hotels in London, it all depends on the price . I use a comparison site because the same hotel can appear at vastly different prices on the same night. I think it is good to be near the station, rather than having to lug cases on the underground
