Oh dear Tec. I don't like to know that you have been bowled over. Glad the doctor and another gent got you up. (didn't the woman who knocked you try to help?).. I use my Rollator at home and around this area, but only take my stick with me when I go out with one of my family. People usually give me a wide berth. Did you have any walking aid with you, for her to see? If you did, she should be ashamed of herself.

I did have a lovely birthday. Family dropping in all day, and phone calls - as well as back and forth to the computer to get messages, topped off by one of my sons and his wife arriving for dinner (which they brought with them). Now, the place looks lovely with beautiful pink lillies (don't know their name) and also pink gerberas, etc. .I had my Facebook profile showing that I would be 108 until recently, when a twinge of conscience made me put it right.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 28 Oct 2014 22:13

Oh go on - let your hair down :-D

I go knocked over in the hospital. A woman the size of a water buffalo came towards me and bumped into me hard, I lost my balance and crashed down. :-|

No damage, just bruised dignity. A doctor coming along and someone else got me to my feet.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 28 Oct 2014 22:12

You have been busy. I approve of the champagne but am not sure of dancing on the table

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 28 Oct 2014 21:57

I bought a 4ft Christmas tree with fibre optic lights. Can't be bothered with my usual extravaganza of a tree anymore.

Three trays of winter pansies, and a box of polyanthus.
three boxes of Christmas cards,

and a picture for my kitchen wall that says

"Time to drink champagne and dance on the table"

It made me laugh :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 28 Oct 2014 21:52

What did you buy at the garden centre?

How is the Duchess now?

Tecwyn Report 28 Oct 2014 21:49

Hello Everyone,

I've just made my coffee, :-)

Had a very busy day. Had an appointment at Shrewsbury hospital that is a two hour drive. Appointment wasn't till 4-30pm, running late as usual, so I didn't leave the hospital till 5-40pm, straight into horrendous rush traffic that I'm not used to now.

Anyway I went earl so that I could visit the big garden centre nearby :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 28 Oct 2014 21:41

Hello everyone :-)

My goodness Sylvia - you're 114 y.o. You don't look a day over 100 ;-)

Lovely sunny day here as it was yesterday. I did a little gardening and housework and then met a friend for coffee.

I am glad you didn't get blown away Sylvia.

The change of the clocks is a real nuisance where children are concerned. Eve was up and shouting for Handmade just before 6 am this morning. I brought her in with us. Grandad just turns his back on her, but I get to play games with her, baby teddy and mummy teddy who are her especial favourites. We did that for an hour, then she asked for my iPad, she had her own page of games on it, so she played with that for another hour while I Tried to snooze. She has some really good counting and phonic games, so I don't mind her doing those.

We went to the theatre this morning to see the Dinosaur show. It was a touring Australian group. The puppet s were excellent, they had a very scary T. rex look alike. Eve sat on my knee all the way through, she liked it but was scared at the same time. After lunch we went swimming which of course she loves and called in the playground on the way back. She stayed up late, so hopefully will sleep in tomorrow.

We are tired so will have an early night just in case she doesn't sleep in :-(

well, that was a fizzle out :-)

Yes, we had a bit of wind over night (outside, I mean)

Yes, we've had some periods of heavy rain, and that is still continuing

but nowhere near many previous winter storms, including last week

at least, we were all prepared for the worst :-)
