Hi Sue, and everyone

it was a dark cloudy day today, but warm

No rain, yet! That is due to arrive overnight.

It will still be warm .................. so raincoats will not be sensible!

The nights will be cool ............. I love that about Fall :-)

Sue ........ I did have to laugh at Maisie and her bed!

Linda ............... enjoy the rest :-)

Persie ......... I too am glad that you have somewhere to sleep. I guess being a good landlord would make you a good renter :-D

Berona ............. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ for when you arrive

take care, everyone

I can understand that a lad that age would prefer a big dog, but as you get older they are not practicle.

I have always had big dogs, but if it were possible for me to have another dog it would be a small one that I could manage.

I can't so no point thinking about it.

Well I'm off to bed,

Enjoy your day Sue whatever you choose to do,

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

SueMaid Report 22 Sep 2014 23:37

Yes you are being silly :-D he has taken to her but he would have preferred a bigger dog. He does understand that a big dog wouldn't suit us now.

Tecwyn Report 22 Sep 2014 23:31

oh what a shame, you could have sat side by side watching the world pass by :-D

Does you your grown up son like Maisie? will he take her for walks?

am I being silly :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 22 Sep 2014 23:28

Oh....I never thought of that....mmmm :-D

I resisted a two seater at the markets :-( It would have been perfect :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 22 Sep 2014 23:24

Well there you go - you'll just have to have another cane chair :-D

one for you - and one for Maisie :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 22 Sep 2014 23:21

That's a good idea, Tec. Although I think she likes sleeping on the couch. OH let her out this morning and I found her curled up on my cane chair :-0

Tecwyn Report 22 Sep 2014 23:13

We gave up using anything that contained stuffing in her bed, instead we took to using old jumpers - still got dragged out and ripped up sometimes, but nowhere near the mess that stuffing makes.

Those that did survive long enough could easily be thrown in the washing machine.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 22 Sep 2014 23:08

Maisie has had it in for her bed since we bought her home. We did have a laugh when we saw the stuffing all over the house :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 22 Sep 2014 23:05

I'm sure that Aimee will come to like Maisie, the more she sees of her on visits.

Sorry but I had to giggle at Maisie demolishing her bed :-D.

Don't want to alarm you, but when we had our two Labradors the female did that for six months.
It did try our patience, but strangely it suddenly stopped overnight - never happened again - and she never touched anything else.

SueMaid Report 22 Sep 2014 22:59

Hello Linda - I hope you can sleep when you get to bed. Is the house starting to look good or is it still a mess?

Tec - the boys love Maisie especially Joel. Aimee was very wary and kept out of her way. Maisie was very naughty overnight. She ripped all the stuffing out of her bed. It was all over the house :-|

Good Morning Sue,

Exciting time, Springtime.

We are enjoying a real bonus with our late summer weather. I was a beautiful day today. I attacked the garden with secateurs, hacking off what I could reach.

How is Maisie? and what did the children think of her/

Hello, :-)

Looks as if you are finally on the move Persie :-)
I have been somewhat confused in recent weeks about your situation. At one time I thought that you were both living in a horse box :-D
Then you blew my tiny mind because I thought OH had bought a tank - I blame the medication. Mine, not yours :-D

Linda how are the property developers doing? It will be lovely when it's finished :-D
Once all the mess is cleared away it's surprising how quickly things begin to take shape.
I'm sure little Esme will be fine once she gets used to nursery, as she got used to you eventually - maybe watching the others will amuse her.

Oh dear, I went to sleep on the sofa earlier on and have now just woken up to go to bed. :-(

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 22 Sep 2014 22:37

Hello everyone :-)

I too am glad that you will have a place to lay your head, Persie :-)

Try not to worry Linda - Esme will settle before long. She was unsettled with you for a short while and then she was fine so I'm sure she will be fine at nursery too.

We are having glorious Spring days here. The garden is really coming to life. Still chilly at night but I'm not complaining. It's better than the hot nights of Summer.

I am glad that you are not going to be homeless Persie :-D

It seems really strange to be hear at this time on a Monday, I should be in London babysitting. I do hope little Esme will be alright at nursery by herself tomorrow. Eve spent her first full day at school today. We spoke to her on Facetime, but she was just being silly, so I assume it was fine

It was a glorious afternoon here, but it is dark and noticeably cold now. I have just gone round closed all of the curtains and put the heating on

Your dog looks a sweetie Sue, obviously of blue blood going by the colour of her toy bone.

Took all the gates off their hinges in the horse truck so guess it will be down to starting orders. Himself wanted to start loading tomorrow as his arm is getting better but I have loaded up a vehicle for the charity shop so that will be first off the ramp after we meet with the Real Estate chap tomorrow.

We were accepted for the rental, we couldn't provide references as renters so we got our Property Manager and our painters to be our referees. Since we had looked at the place several have been interested so we will pay bond, letting fee and a fortnight's rent tomorrow.. We can move in on Saturday.

When going through stuff I had a bit of a giggle, I don't know who the Christmas card was from, can't remember it at all. I had only kept part of it.. it was the PS which said : I hope I have selpt ..then crossed selpt out and put seplt your name right. good oh.. at least it wasn't slept our name. With this was another card from my youngest to my eldest one Christmas.. she had written Merry Christmas Bossy and then gone over the ball point with a blue felt to cross bossy out.. on the other page had to Mxxxxxxxxx love from Axxxxxxxxx .. Many happy returns. ( the Many happy returns is very much the influence of my father on birthday cards that he wrote to them) I think I will hang on to that one.

I just wondered about the pups, as I think you said she was about a year old .............. whether she had been used for breeding, not a family dog
