Linda ........ that is really annoying! I do hope that you get some satisfaction from the company on Monday

We have never used a company to book our holidays, we always travel independently, and that does give you more control


Our garden is way ahead of itself ................. and everything has been spectacular so far. Much better flowering than usual.


The lilies-of-the-valley are just going over ................. they were Mum's favourite flower, and we found they had been planted in one of the borders after we bought this house 42 years ago. Dad used to struggle to get them to survive in our garden in the UK ...... in the foothills of the Pennines. They are almost like a weed here ........... but I refuse to let OH dig them all up.


The rhodos are particularly spectacular at the moment ............. ti seems as if every variety is the same.


I can't think of any reason for it all ......... the winter wasn't that much different from normal!!


Tec ................ I'm glad that you managed to see the Duchess today, and that sh is getting more settled.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get your license back.



Monday is a Stat Holiday here ................ Victoria Day


that celebrates the birthday of Queen Victoria, on May 24th, but we have the holiday on the Monday before.


May 24th is actually the traditional day when farmers and gardeners start to plant their fields and gardens ............... in most of Canada, it is only about now that most nights are frost-free.

Not here, in the Banana Belt, of course :-)

It will cost us to keep the room if it is available and we will have to pay for an evening meal. I will see what I can do, but I don't hold out much hope

Unfortunately , the way of corporate buisness these days , you are probably not wrong Linda :-( but phone up and give them some grief anyway :-)

That is a bit of a blow Linda - but can they do anything about it, without is costing you extra money.
Could you stay an extra day? and maybe get a better return flight home.

I doubt that Amanda, it is probably in the small print that they can ruin your holiday with no comeback

I am cross because it is just ten days to go before our holiday and the email arrived today with the e tickets to print off. When I looked at it, they have changed the flight times to dreadful overnight flights which we would never have considered booking in the first place. As it was we had to settle for flights which were later than normal because of the timetable available this year from up north, but the new return time has us arriving at 4.20 am, so we will have been up all night then have to drive home

I rang up straight away, but of course the department I need is only open Monday to |Friday

Amanda - I took the photo's on my tablet. Now I just need to learn how to send them to people.

I will have a go at it tomorrow :-)
