Hello everyone :-D. I can't stay long this morning as I have some more interviews to do. We have been warned that one is a very difficult person. I'm ready for this one :-|

Hello Linda :-)

No I haven't been wandering the village. Haven't had much time really with setting up the fish tank, and other things. Then I had visitors today, but I might go tomorrow.
My daughter is coming on Friday evening, and just staying the night till Saturday lunchtime.

I expect that you are looking forward to going home tomorrow, for a rest. Hope you have a better journey home than last time,

I hope you have caught up on your sleep Huia, falling asleep at the wheel is not good.

Persie, I am ignoring :-P

I lost a long post Grr

I am glad you have your tank sorted Tec and that your brother has the ramp in hand, it will be much safer than hopping.

Have you been roaming the village in this nice weather?

I get to go home tomorrow evening, but it will be late by the time I get back

Persie,

I can't ever imagine you in an unkept state - rather a paragon of fashion and glamour - at all times :-D

Huia - You may be not still 17, but a little wicked flirtation on occasion never did a girl any harm :-D

Today was a lovely warm sunny day here.
My brother and SIL visited - he finished a little job he was doing for me outside, and worked out how to put the final ramp that will get me easily down the step into the garden, using the wheelchair, instead of precariously hopping down.
This will be worked on next time after I have had some materials delivered.

My neighbours new foster dog "Jack" has turned out to be a jumper, and can easily clear a five foot fence, which is why I assume he ended up in the pound in the first place.
Hopefully, for her, it will not take long to find him a permanent home. He is a lovely natured dog though.
Milo just looks on in amusement :-D

Tec, I don't want to feel like a 17 yr old. I was extremely shy in those days. Now I am the exact opposite. Much more fun, flirting with the men - and the younger fellows sometimes. :-D

Hello Huia,

Sounds very much that you have been overdoing things and need to recharge your batteries :-D
Take things easy for a few days if you can - then you'll feel like a 17 yr old :-D.

Well I am off to bed now, very tired after all that fishy business,

Goodnight everyone, or Good Morning.
Tec :-)

SueMaid Report 13 May 2014 22:58

Oh dear Huia - you really need to slow down. You must be overdoing things to be so tired :-(

Hello Susanwithnumbers - always good to see you <3

Linda I hope Esme is settling down.

Tec - you've worked hard today but it sounds like it was worth the effort :-)

Yesterday I took the other gt gran with me down to Hamilton to visit Granddaughter and her 2 young sons, M and R. On the way down, about 10 mins before we got there I almost fell asleep while driving so had to sit up straight and wiggle a lot to keep awake. When we got there I took off my shoes and curled up on the settee beside grdau to try to grab a sleep but M was running about and sounded like a herd of elephants so A (grdau) suggested I go and lie down on M's bed. I asked them to wake me at lunch time but I was so sound asleep that they left me until they had finished lunch. But at least I was able to drive home later without being sleepy, I even fell asleep last night without needing to take any sleeping pills. I must have been overdoing things. :-0 The sleep when there gave the other GG the time to play with M and R without them wanting to include me. :-) I was thinking of visiting Phil today but have decided I really should stay home for a break. Perhaps I will go tomorrow. One day is probably the same as the next for him.

Hello Everyone, :-)

Double the guard - Persie is trying to escape.
Had a post card from my SIL who was in Queenstown NZ. She says " We've made it from Aukland (by car) down to Queenstown, and have hardly stopped saying "Wow".
What an amazing country, Wales on a giant scale - quite breath taking. Off to Sydney tomorrow for three days, then home to Hong Kong."
She is right about NZ being just like Wales - I have often thought so, especially when driving along the coast road round Cardigan Bay, looking towards Snowdonia.

The delivery of aquarium plants arrived this morning. I needed more gravel in the bottom, so this also arrived with the plants.
I spent all day washing the gravel, then planting the plants. As I can stand on one leg for only short periods of time, it took hours to complete.
All done now, and I'm delighted with the result.
Will let it all settle down, then go for more fish. :-)

My brother is visiting tomorrow. He likes to do odd jobs while here, so I may ask him to see what can be done about the step into the garden. It is quite deep to negotiate at the moment. So anything will be a help.

We had a violent thunder storm during the night, and torrential rail, but it was a lovely day that followed. :-D.

Linda I hope that Esme continues to be easier with you, it must make all the difference to get a smile.

I will do Berona.

My feet are aching, I have walked miles today :-(

On the positive side Esme seems to be a bit happier, so hopefully she is getting used to me. I bet that is tempting fate and she will be a little horror tomorrow

Checking in just before I close down and say goodnight.

Percy - good to see you posting. Doesn't seem five minutes since August was born. Sounds like a very independent young man. and Susanwithnumbers! Haven't seen you around for a long time. Well, maybe it's me - my activities have been a little different of late.

Linda - take care of yourself and don't over-do anything. Give Eve and Esme a hug from me.

Anya used to do that, fairy dresses were her favourite, they looked quite strange in the winter.. all this up and down netted skirt with a sweat shirt over the top to keep her warm and clodhopper winter shoes.

For a while there her mother would dress her in shorts in the summer..she had one pair that were quite loose legged bit like a skort and she would skew them at her waist, so they looked uncomfortable but she thought that they looked like a skirt. I made her a couple of skirts for playcentre and she announced to the whole room that she was wearing a dress.

Now she is nearly 17 and hardly ever wears a dress or skirt. ho hum

I am tempting fate by posting as Esme is still asleep. I had a leisurely start to the day,I even had a shower and washed my hair before it was time to wake Eve up. I was able to sort her out so her mum didn't have to, that gave her mum a nice start to the day. She has gone off to nursery wearing her princess dress over her clothes.

Esme has a physio who comes to the house for an hour every week, to do exercises with her to try and get her rolling and sitting. The mucus is from her stomach, so nothing can be done about that other than medication. The type of mucus exercises I think you are talking about are lung related secretions
