Is your niece coping well with her little girl, Linda? Four months old already :-0

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 24 Mar 2014 21:56

They are both fine Sue. My sister is in besotted grandmother mode, her daughter had a little girl four months ago

What a nuisance Tec when you are settling into a new routine.

I was just thinking about the way you have devised to get to your washing machine. I do hope it's safe :-|

Linda - I meant to say I hope your sister and BIL are both well. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit with them.

Tecwyn Report 24 Mar 2014 21:51

I have no option Linda- but after I blasted them in the North Wales paper, maybe they will pay attention.
Apparently there is an investigation over what happened last time

You are trusting the ambulance to get your there???

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 24 Mar 2014 21:48

I'm not a morning person either Sue :-)

Ideally the day should start at 12 noon :-)

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 24 Mar 2014 21:46

I've only been up for an hour or so Linda - it takes me awhile to get going :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 24 Mar 2014 21:45

Yes Linda - because of the nature of the op they need to keep me overnight for observation. I am going back into the ward I was in for six weeks.
As I am due to be discharged on Saturday I have a sspition they will keep me until Monday because of transport.
This end the ambulance is picking me up at 7 am as I have to be on the ward for 9am

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 24 Mar 2014 21:42

Oh dear, poor you. Will you have to stay in overnight on Friday?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 24 Mar 2014 21:39

Tomorrow morning the district nurse is calling to start the injections into my tummy ready for the op I have to have on Friday.
I had been through all that before I left hospital, but the transport let me down and the appointment was cancelled.
I hate those abdominal injections :-0

Having a little bag on the wheelchair arm is a good idea Sue

Lots of people iron sitting down Tec, I just make OH do it all :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 24 Mar 2014 21:33

I don't have a pocket on the wheelchair Sue, but it's a good idea that I will look into

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 24 Mar 2014 21:31

I don't need to wash your flimsies thank you Linda :-D

Ironing is something else I need to get to grips with - lowering the ironing board low enough to do it from the wheelchair. I can't be seen in crinkly shirts :-)

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 24 Mar 2014 21:29

If you have some sort of pocket on the wheelchair you can carry the phone with you.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 24 Mar 2014 21:28

If you are going to take in washing, I will send mine as well. I want it ironing nicely though :-D

we have four phones like Tec -- keep up Sue :-D :-D :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 24 Mar 2014 21:24

Linda I have to charge all four phones for at least 24 hours. I will have one in the lounge, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom.
I have been missing calls on the fixed phone as I couldn't get the quick enough in the wheelchair, and knocking lumps off my hands on the doorposts because I was trying to hurry. Hopefully the cordless phones will stop all that.

Today I discovered a way of getting out to the back porch where the washing machine, tumble dryer, and chest freezer are. So now I can see to my own washing :-) :-)

SueMaid Report 24 Mar 2014 21:23

I like the speaker button too - especially when Aiden rings as we can both chat with him.....or I should say listen to him. He always has so much to tell us and we often can't get a word in :-D

We have two phones and during the day we sit one on the hall table so we can get to it easily. My daughter has a large house and has three phones.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 24 Mar 2014 21:14

Have you got your phones set up Tec? I like the cordless ones because you can use them on speaker phone,so you don't need to hold them up to your ear all the time, much better when you are having a long chat

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 24 Mar 2014 21:12

I told the my daughter about OH's eye and she couldn't stop laughing - and apologising for laughing :-D. His exploits are becoming legendary :-D

Yes his eye is much better thank you. It cornea heals very quickly and he has antibiotic drops to ward off infection.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 24 Mar 2014 21:03

Sue, you are naughty :-D :-D

I hope you have done a written risk assessment for all of your OH's activities from now on :-D

I hope his eye is OK though
