Hello Sylvia,

I am looking out onto a hard white frost. OH still hasn't sorted our garden out, there is lots to cut back and tidy up, but many things haven't died back yet which is odd. These frosts will get them though

Hi Sue, and everyone

we're having some lovely sunny weather ................. but the temperature is below freezing overnight, and only about 2 or 3C during the day :-(

Great to hear that Tec, and hopefully the Duchess, are going home ............... I do hope that everything is in place for them regarding help. xxxx

OH has our garden to sleep now .................... all the leaves that have fallen off the trees are piled on the garden beds to provide mulch over the winter. He's transplanted the leeks, and they will continue to grow until we want to pull them in February or March.

take care everyone

xx

Bye Sue, I am off as well

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 22 Nov 2013 22:56

I must be off as OH is getting fidgety waiting for me. More rain is forecast so he wants his seedlings in the garden before it starts.

Goodnight Up-Topper friends and a good day to our Down-Underers <3 <3

You sound like my daughter when she takes the children shopping. When they ask if they can look at the toys she tells them "looking but no buying" :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 22 Nov 2013 22:39

You may look, just as long as you don't buy

We're going to the garden centre today. We want to put some lettuce into the garden so will get some seedlings. OH has already planted out the corn which he has grown from seed. The tomatoes have gone mad with the rain and the sunshine.

I MAY look at some pots :-D

You've had a busy day, Linda.

I also had problems with the printer - it wasn't printing in true colour and I couldn't work out why. OH took one look at the colour cartridges and told me - with a red face - that he hadn't taken the tape off the nozzle of one of the colours :-D

Well done Sue.

Tec is going home tomorrow, I assume the Duchess is as well.

I had a head banging morning trying to sort my printer out. I did in the end, but the job which should have taken ten minutes took all morning

I then delivered Meals on Wheels which was fine, then baby sat for next door. The baby was supposed to be asleep for a good hour, but he woke up fifteen minutes after his parents went out. he is a cheery little thing, so he was fine, even if I did have to change a dirty nappy

thats the whole thing about it Sue, the feeling when you give , it doesn't have to be expensive, time is precious and expensive too, so anything that involves a good deed no matter how big or small is a fantastic feeling :-) <3

I have had a busy week so I hope to have a relaxing day today.

I'm feeling good because I helped an elderly couple get some much needed personal care in their home. They were at their wit's end because it is only short term and none of the care agencies would take them on :-(. I found an agency that would look after them and I feel like I've done something worthwhile :-)
