Hope you had a great day with the family yesterday.

Well I do wear trousers, all the time, and I wouldn't want to bang your heads together however naughty you were :-D

I didn't contact the doctor because I've decided that they're all insane, and I can't be bothered dealing with them.

Throwing my toys out of my pram :-D :-D

I have our painter's tall ladder here.. it is one of those that can be used on slopes and steps can let down wind up or whatever one side to cope with anything not level. I am not sure why it is still at our place as is not needed here. (also have his other two ladders but they have been in use)

Had a lovely lunch and we all enjoyed ourselves yesterday. I know they have wooden floors to keep things easier to clean but with them and the high ceilings it got very noisy.. we were out in an area like a conservatory.

Today is the weekend.. we don't always know what day it is .. every day is a weekend to us now.

I have to choose carpet sometime too LInda.. but it is a lot easier if I let him choose and I go along with it.. he is the fussy one about carpets, curtains colours etc.

Linda my OH doesn't mind painting but hates all the preparation.

I think apathy has set in, and I can't be bothered with any of them anymore. I have to go to the hospital on Monday. The nurse did offer to come to me, but the Duchess has an appointment with the physio at the same place 20 minutes after me.

I am not sulking - just not playing anymore.

I have had some useful contacts, but most of the single ones are for side branches, so I am not bothered about them. I live in hope of finding a new good central contact at some stage

I've also been in touch with people who have several matches, but I have a lot with just one match. Some of them look interesting.

Two of the people who contacted me are very strange. One insists I am not who I am :-D.
The other, a man in Canada, demands to know why I don't know what happened to a mutually distant relative who died in 1878 :-D

I have been working on my tree today as well/ I looked at the hot matches not long ago, but the people who have the most matches, I have already been in contact with

I had a message today from a GR member concerning someone in my tree - haven't had one of those for ages.

I keep meaning to trawl through my Hot Matches, haven't done that for ages

His brother has joined the circus :-D

Halls and staircases are always difficult area. The top landing is a nightmare here, and I won't be doing that again. I have to balance step ladders on planks.

Still have this room to finish as everything came to a halt when my leg decided to be awkward and stopped me in my tracks. It will get done eventually.

I think it is the hall which is the problem because the walls are so difficult to paint in one part, he has to chock the ladders on blocks of wood on the stairs, anyway, it is up to him. we do know a really good internal decorator who we would trust to do a very good job

I often decide every time I'm decorating that I'm never doing it again, but I always seem to be doing myself in the end. I think it's the thought of preparing for somebody else to come in. It's not the cost, because I think it's worth it, and quickly over with.
Glad you've chosen the new carpet. I expect that you are looking forward to it.

Hello Tec, don't listen to him Mersey, i am wearing trousers today as well :-)

It rained really hard this morning, but was sunny this afternoon, so I walked round to the cinema and caught up with some admin jobs. It was very humid and started raining again just as I got back. The carpet shop is near the cinema,so I ordered the new carpet and arranged the fitting for a few weeks time to give OH time to do the painting.

When he was about to start he was chuntering away about how hard work it was,so I told him to get the decorator to do it. As we would have to wait, he decided that he would do it himself. After he had been perched on ladders painting the landing ceiling,he has declared that this is the last time he is doing it
