lol Thanks Debbie and everyone.
Only ever seen them a couple of times here. I did try and take a photo with my phone...but cant see it lol
Just popped back on while I put the tea on, then its back to the garden.
Lovely having them but 3 and 6 yr old 's take a lot out you.

Im glad we have sort of got to the bottom of the bug thing.

next time just say to your Grandson it's a bug as I think we have all been scratching most of the day lol

I think it could be a wood wasp of some kind.

Or it could have been a wood wasp (Latin name: Urocerus gigas)

Debbie is was crawling around the bark at a play park. I shooo'd it away and it came back,. I tried to stand on it but it flew away..with a sore tail.

Not a wasp,a lot bigger.
Grandson is reading this as I type..read out Kitty the rubbish cook and he is laughing his head off. He's just turned 6.
He is now singing to Kitty lol

Was it near the flowers

if so it could be a hummingbird moth ( as if i now what im talking about ) but it sound's good :)

It sounds like some type of Wasp to me. Good luck with identifying it .

A flying insect about 4cm/1-1/2in.Blackish/brown body,yellow tail and a yellow stingy bit....words of my grandson lol.
Have been looking but so far havent found it.
Wings were almost as long as it's body.

Why did Granny say we will look it up lol
