The garden wet

The sky is grey
The garden wet
What shall I do today?
I could chat to people I have not met
I could tackle the clothes in that pile
That yesterday upon my line dried
Put on my wellies & walk a mile
Will put on the kettle while I decide

My sentiments entirely Carol. I am in the same position here, and forecasted for more rain, and possible banging and flashing stuff this afternoon
Hope it clears soon, hoping to go out and buy some jigsaws for the winter, on Saturday. Our sources for these are drying up at a rate of knots, hence the stockpiling

Charity shops down here are full of them ... only problem is that you spend hours doing them only to find that there is a piece missing. :o(

Yes Carol, I agree with you about the charity shop ones, but have had them in the past. We now have only one source of supply locally without going into Derby itself, which I hate with a passion. Two local sources of supply have closed in recent months, so putting all our hopes in the Co-op, in a nearby town, who we know have been selling them, at least up to the beggining od the summer.

Rain rain never stops
Cant even visit the shops
Bored with being inside
Lookin for a place to hide
Away from drips nice and dry
And a lovely clear sky.

Julia... have you any large garden centres nearby? Ours has some lovely ones.

Dizzi ... give it back right now! ;o(
Mel ... ~~~~~~~
GI YID ...On cold dark winter nights, with only the usual repeats (on tv & on here) it is something to while away the hours.
When my house was full of children’s voices, there was so much to do that I had little time to spend doing things like puzzles, but there was usually one on the go that needed finishing off ... usually the sky lol
(Oh how I miss those days!)
My house is now so quiet that I can hear the clock ticking, the washing machine gets whole days empty, the sitting room carpet is clear of toys, the table free of books, music is now played at a volume that does not shake the walls & everything stays where I put it. (Oh how I miss those days!)
It is nice to know that some of you are enjoying good weather. It has stopped raining here now & the sun is peeping through the clouds ... will see if I can get a bit more done in the garden.
