Who ever it was went under her bed wher she kept a small case containing important documements and insurance policies etc

The party talking to Mother must have seen his accomplice walk in and out inches behind Mother.

A kinder more helpful woman would be hard to find. She would rather give something than have them think of stealing it.

I can't comprehend how any human being could target the elderly so I have a view that they weren't created naturally but in some science lab and the experiment went horribly wrong and they mutated and escaped!

They should be exterminated like the vermin they are.

Hi Diane,

Her son lives close by and sees her every day. He is going back in the morning to check on her and I have notified the office to let the morning carer know what has happened.

I told him that she could suffer delayed shock and advised him to contact her doctor for advice which he has done.

Just for my own peace of mind I will pop in there midday to make sure she is okay.

It's not a job this it's a vocation and one I love and sounds as if you are like me and have taken it up for the right reasons.

Less than a year before she died some con man posing as an official kept my Mother talking on her door step while his accomplice entered her home through the open back door and went upstairs and rummaged all her private personal belongings !!

My lovely peeps are mostly in their late 80s and into their 90s and are wonderful to look after and except one, all live alone.

I always have it at the back of my mind that I may go in one day and find them on the floor having fallen or worse.

In most cases their mobility is poor so I have keys to enter their homes and they can't get to the door to answer it if anyone calls.

Just one more thing to worry about.

Oh that poor lady, she must have been terrified, hope she's ok.
What annoys me if they catch them what do they get, a slap on the hand, let me sentence them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness she wasn't hurt Aileen, we hear too many horror stories about elderly people being attacked in their own homes. It's sickening.

Hi all,

I am so angry I have steam coming out my ears.

I had a call from the son of one of my elderly peeps. She is 87 and opened the door to some low life about an hour before I was due to go there to make her evening meal.

He pushed past her and went into her kitchen. Distracted her attention and another piece of scum sneaked into her front room looking for something to nick.

Fortunately she doesn't have any valuables on the premises. The main thing is she was unhurt but really it has shaken her up badly.

The police came round pretty sharpish and were wonderful with her.

Poor darling. I insisted she locked the front door and put the chain across when I left and she is promising not to open the door from now on unless the safety chain is on.

Also told her if in doubt then not to let anyone in but go and call her son or myself.

Oh, I'd love to get my hands on these animals.
