Ask them if they are paid to go door to door (most are) then ask yourself if a charity can spend money on that do they really need to scrounge your hard earned cash...Most of the big charities are loaded. (You only need to see what they pay their senior staff) Do what I do and support your local hospice, animal sanctuary etc |

We've been getting these (door knockers) in Northants for some time now. They always have the same patter and make it very difficult to say 'no'. I always say we already give to a charity and can spare no more. |

The thing is, the 3 charities that have called are ones that I would consider supporting, but have now been put off doing so. |

I don't like the ones that knock on the door and have never signed up for any charities . If I feel the need to give I put money in a box in one of the local shops . |

At least, if stopped in the street you can walk off - not so easy to shut the door in someone's face. |

I haven't had them at the door yet,but have had them at the supermarkets. No they don't let you have the forms to mull over.I don't agree with them knocking on doors.I think some vulnerable people might find themselves signing up without realising what they are actually doing. |

Its the same as the ones who stop you in the street. They are fast becoming a menace around here with their ''have you got a few minutes to spare'' |

Is anyone else fed-up with charities knocking on their door, asking you to sign up to donate? They won't leave the forms for you to look at & think about. |
