I'm lazy and tend to use System restore to undo mistakes, Choose yesterdays date and it should disappear.

Accessories> systems Tools>System Restore.

When in the page you want:
Click on Tools/Internet Options
That opens a window with several tabs but you should be in General
The top item is Home Page which will show the page you are in
Just click on "Use current" and it will set the home page to where you are.

His name is "Fred" and he did not specify what might happen

"never use system restore unless there is no other way to correct a fault too much can go wrong"

Are you out there Fred ?

Actually I have often used System restore myself,
and so far had no ( that I know of) disasters afterwards, thats why I asked......LOl

there is one thing I CAN think of, is that when trying to eradicate a trojan/virus you may think that its gone, BUT it can still be stored in the Restore package.......

Hi all, yes, i too have used system restore when i had too,but ,i is not the sort of thing to use willy nilly.
Everytime you do a system restore you are in effect rolling back ALL programmes and files ,not just the one or two you are trying to get rid of ,or sort out..
There is always the odd chance of loosing an important file which will mean the computer not working properly in the future until the computer is reformatted
All i am saying is ,if there is a safer way of correcting a programme fault please use it ,too many people land up causing more problems for themselves than they are curing,up to even losing fat files.including bringing back trojans and virusses you thought you had gotten rid of
computers are not idiot proof ,he he ,i should know having made this mistake in the past ,and wasn't as lucky as most of you.Fred.
