Hello
I am an older member but new to posting and I have a sense that its a social sin to be a "Thread Killer".
I am just going to be stupid and ask what does this mean so I can avoid doing that.
Please don't groan and only positive comments please - some of us are L posters.

Well, thank you DET. I didn't know what a thread killer was either. I thought it was one of those mean people who delight in contravening the Term and Conditions of GR by writing rude or derogatory remarks about other members - then someone complains - and WHOOOOOSH - the thread is gone!

There are also those who start a thread, then have a string of replies from people who are interested - then the originator deletes it!

I am in a different time zone from GR and I often add a post, then go to bed. Next morning, I look to see what other comments have been added - and it's no longer there! I rarely know what happens to those threads - never find out who killed it or why. Most frustrating!

No that's my job tonight. Doing well I am.

Come join us on Thread Killers ReUnited and Application to join Thread Killers United.

Learn about Nut Lodge and Cyber Pets and duck every time the Killer Queen zooms past on her broomstick. Watch out for flying omelettes, learn about spiders, and kittens who break part aof their anatomy. Read about frogs and lily pads and toads.

Learn about the throne room at Nut Lodge, mole stew, and the padded cell. Read about the trips to London and elsewhere and the firemen with long hoses.

Don't even think you will be able to reach the lofty heights of Thread Killer, well not for a couple of days at least. It takes hours of training, lots of book learnin' and a slightly cracked disposition.

Ouch!! Duck!! Tinkle, crash, tinkle, tinkle! Oh ha ha, LG, I closed the window. You'd better clean up that glass before Maz arrives.

Thanks Det, your explaination makes good sense! + was very entertaining!
And thank you Berona, I knew that there must be others out there who were mystified by concept Thread Killer.
I hope this post encourages those members who don't post to come join the GR friendly community on the boards.

Hi winter rose,
there is a thread which I have resurrected, called thread killers,by Ann L from Darlow,
the original title has been depleted by a GR update, which used to read,
"Come and join us,add your name ,read the jokes and have some fun!"

Oh no no no.... declaring it dead doesn't work at all!! Sorry... there are far too many people out there who see that as a banner, and a declaration of war.... and they insist on trying to become the last person on the thread...... they are determined to have the LAST WORD *quivers*

Ask Susan numbers... she knows, ;¬))

Hi There Winterose,

Now my little petunia there is one piece of information you need. You may keep this secret to yourself, divulging it to no one until the time is right.

You are the only person who can whoooosh this thread. Well apart from GR.

Only the person who originates the thread can zap it completely by clicking on delete on the very first post on the thread.

If I write bad words on the thread like, "housework" and "other half" and "chocolate" and "red wine", and someone complains about my doing so, GR may come along and whoosh the thread.

Other than that, threads just faaaaaade away after the last, and usually most interesting person, posts.

Da da dum dum dum, another one bites the dust!!!
