...Why do I have 3 cats that love the rain?!
Washing the floor is a useless activity, they keep going out and running in leaving muddy footprints.
Then they run upstairs (computer's in a spare bedroom) jump on my lap and 'snuggle' me - and if I'm 'lucky' thy'll jump on the windowsill - leaving more muddy footprints!

......Perhaps I should keep one of their towels up here - yes, they have their own towels, they get wet so often, and love being dried off!

Aww - I used to have cats, and miss them. I have got an irrascible dog at the moment. One, was a foundling Persian, found in the fields behind my house, by the farmers wife. Had her for several years, and she would only eat out of a china plate on the worktop. She would not eat in the communale dish with the others, she was so aloof, so many airs and graces that cat.
When she died, she went to a neighbours house. The man of the house stayed up with her all night, and missed a days work the following day. He was a hard nutter, not afraid of anything, or anybody, and well known to the police, except when it came to cats. He gave Seraphena a lovely send off, in his own garden. God Bless him. People still talk about it in these parts.

Polly - Snow - Nooo!
Last year, I had puddles everywhere!
Betty's got long hair. The snow suck to her belly, she walked in, snow melted - result puddles!
I swear they deliberately walked under bushes to gather as much snow on their backs as they could, before coming in.

Julia,
What a lucky cat Seraphena was.

Don't talk to me about muddy cats!!!!!

I am in the middle of tacking together the three layers of a baby quilt. It is raining stair rods, and my three big toms keep jumping onto said quilt to dry their fur.
Someone asked on this board if they had a murderer in the family;does catricide count????

We have a longhair who wont go out in any weather if she can help it! The old boy(18) will go out in anything, but come back in to use the cat tray. Go outside? What do you think I am!

I used to have a cat and sometimes when it was dark we wouldn't know if it was raining and the only way we knew was if if the cat came in wet!
