*shock* on here ?

I know but it's just a if anybody fancies looking for me cos I can't find.

I have an Elizabeth Batchelor b c1845 Burlsedon Hampshire
she married a Jacob Corbin in 1867 and had son Harry in 1870 when she was then widowed. 1871 she was a general shopkeeper living with her dad in Burlsedon
She remarried in 1872 to George Hunt.
In 1881 she is in Burlsedon a grocer and bakers wife with son Corbin Hunt no sign of George
1901 I have found her in Burlsedon greengrocer shopkeeper with son Harry Corbin
both census state married rather than widowed.

My query is where is she in 1891 as I can't find her or Harry and where is George or when did he die ?

Her 1st husband was in the army in 1861

Theres this death

Deaths Sep 1875 (>99%)

HUNT George 65 S. Stoneham 2c 31

South Stoneham covers Bursledon, do you think she might just have classed herself as married even though she was widowed?

Rose I saw both of those deaths and did wonder but it would make him ( either 1 ) a lot older than her by 40+yrs It wasn't as though she was destitute and needed marriage ( desperate maybe lol ) as her father and brother had a market garden, and she already was the shopkeeper.
Yes I do think she would have put married rather than widowed down if I recall right she did on the 1871 census.

Following on from Stevie's reply , if you got the marriage cert for George and Elizabeth, his occupation on it might eliminate some of those, if they can be found on census' ?
