I agree, we lived in East Kent too for nearly 30 years but not sure I could live there now

And what's wrong with Kent? I know it's not London, I know it's saaf of London, but it has some advantages ... you'd have to give me a while to come up with a short list but there are some.

Proper pubs with proper beer is one that springs instantly to mind.
