Wakey wakey - rise and shine :-D

Red sky in the morning, Shepherd's warning - Make the most of the dry weather before it gets yucky

LG. your OH is very brave tackling the boiler - a gas appliance is one thing that mine won't touch. Anything electrical or electronic and he has no fears. Fingers crossed that everyone elses CH is behaving itself. Its too cold to do without.

First day back at work for YG? Hope there isn't too much to have to catch up with!

Cheeky!!!!! it is too cold to sleep in, the b****y heating packed up completely last night :-| :-| :-| :-|. They will be out some time today to fix it It must have known as it was due for it's annual service tomorrow morning. Still hopefully both jobs will be done at the same time. OH will tackle everything thank goodness

Oh no!!! How horrible for you. Now we've all been without heating this year. :-(

Fingers crossed that its easy to fix and that they have the right part. If they can't fix for a few days, you'll have to camp out at H's or at an indoor shopping centre. :-0

As it keeps playing up, have they made any plans to replace it?

LaGooner Report 10 Dec 2012 10:25

I do have a small electric fire in the lounge and I have been busy in the kitchen so I put the oven on to take off the chill. The company is usually very good with fixing it so fingers crossed. I doubt they will replace it a it is only simple things wrong with it usually and the housing association are as tight as a frog's B*m when it comes to spending out :-D.

Money is tight everywhere, and probably they would be concerned that if they changed a fixable boiler out for one household, they'd be expected to do it for everyone. :-0

Our kitchen doesn't have any radiators, only the boiler. Like you, if it isn't on and its really really cold, I'll put one of the gas hobs on to take off the chill.

Keep warm; keep busy? :-D

Hang on - I'll ask him to stick in a couple more sausages >>>>>

Yep, all done. It should be ready in about an hour. :-D

Actually, he is far better than me at getting Yorkshires or the Hole to rise, so its been delegated to him.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 10 Dec 2012 18:06

I do occasionallly get mine to rise. ;-). Just trying to decide whether to make Salmon fishcakes or Chicken and Bacon Lasagne for tea tonight. :-S

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 10 Dec 2012 18:12

Chicken and bacon sounds more filling, but Salmon fishcakes more healthy. Aw - go with the chicken and bacon. You need comfort food after today!

LaGooner Report 10 Dec 2012 18:14

:-D :-D :-D. Just so, poor OH will be freezing when he gets in and it might make him feel better. I do a healthy version (low fat) anyway. Decision made then, Thanks.
