We've just completed the last but one shopping day before Christmas, with brakes having to be put on OH when he tried to buy up the shop. :-0

I think I have been well and truly duped by the joiner. Long story but I finished up at the police station tonight as I couldn't get him to respond to my phone calls and texts. I eventually got him by ringing him from my landline as he doesn't know that number and he hung up on me. He has my spare door keys so I was really worried. The police phoned him and by the time I got back to the car he text me. Pathetic story and will not be coming back to finish the job so I now have to find another joiner and pay out again.

Understandable that I feel very tearful tonight :-( :-(

I have just spent an hour on the phone as my son phoned me. Granddaughter had text me and she must have told her dad so he was worried.

I am pleased that your OH has got on ok at the hospital. That is good news for sure.

Aw YG, so sorry. You think that you have someone reliable and trustworthy, then they hit you where it hurts. What a good son to care enough to phone you while he is away at work just when you need the support. He's probably already mentioned the small claims court to you if the police won't take any action. They can send the baliffs in to collect what's owed.

Hope to get out by myself to get OH's pressie.....as long as he doesn't decide to go balancing on step ladders on the landing! If not, then the Chirstmas Pud needs to be made. It would be cheaper to buy one, but Eldest's &Co needs a diabetic version.

Morning DET. It sounds like you are going to have a busy day. I am giving the lounge a good clean ready to put up the deccies as smallest Gooner will be here tomorrow and she will nag me if it's not done. I don't know,put in my place by a 3 year old whatever next ;-). Off to the Nativity play to see larger Gooner singing this afternoon. Must remember to fill my coat pockets with tissues :-( :-( :-( :-D

Why not let the littlest help with the tree? It may be a bit bottom heavy with tinsle and ornaments, but she'd be so proud :-D

I do the big tree which I may add is now up, not dcorated but up. The little ones do a smaller one in the hallway and put all their Xmas sweets and home made decorations on it. I have them both next week so it will get done then. Smallest one will be making some decorations tomorrow so hey ho a lounge covered in glue and glitter again :-D :-D

Have just been to Asda done the deed lol well most of it now had some lunch then going to wrap some gifts while i am on my own well with the fur helping and snooping lol

I had a text from YG she is offline again until tomorrow,more problems with BT I think. I still have a bare tree as I went to the little ones Nativity play. Oh bless them they were all under 5 and only been at school since September. <3

Christmas pud now on the boil for the next three hours...just as well its not too cold to keep the kitchen window open.

GR must have pinched LG's baubles...have you seen the addition next to their logo :-D

Morning DET. Wrong coloured baubles mine are Red and White and so is the tinsel. Still not got them on the tree though as lights have gorn missing. OH has got to go rooting in the loft at lunch time as H has had to swap an early for a late so I have both Gooners here to nag me.

There must be a hole where fairy lights disappear to during the year. I'm sure we had 3 boxes (donated by Eldest when she emigrated) but can only find two. :-(

So your littlie sitting will be at their house today? Don't forget to take your laptop for the hours of boredom when they eventually get to sleep!
