Double glue and glitter to get stuck in the carpet :-D

That is why I have laminate flooring ;-) :-D :-D. Easy to mop up the mess. Well ,going to get out quick before the weather gets worse to pick up OH's prescription. Catch you later if I'm not glued to the floor :-D

BOO!! I'M BACK!! FOR GOOD THIS TIME, I HOPE!!

It's a long story, really, and I feel totally stupid, but the BT man has assured me that they won't be billing me with the £99 that I expected, so I hope he has a wonderful Christmas and an even better 2013. :-D :-D :-D

When the engineer came on Wednesday he put in a new box in the bedroom and said that the old one in the hall was now useless, but has left it there as it would leave a gap at the bottom of the wallpaper. The long cable that winds itself round the world to the junction box in the front hall is very old and was the cause yesterday I decided to start removing it. I checked outside first to make sure that there was nothing connected to the box and there wasn't, so I snipped it off . I tried the phone and couldn't get a dialling tone. :-( :-( I didn't bother booting up the lappy as it was going to be a waste of time if I couldn't get on the net. I tried phoning my mobile and nothing. :-D :-D

When the engineer called this morning and tested the line there was nothing wrong with it and he was ringing phone 1 to phone 2 successfully >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I had apparently forgotten that I needed to press the call key to get a dial tone !!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D Although I would swear that I didn't have to do that before :-D :-D

I have found a very reliable joiner to come and fit all new doors for me, as the originals are in such a state that it would take a month of Sundays to get them right. The guy does a lot of work for us at the office and I never thought of asking him as his main trade is office partitioning and fitted kitchens and bedrooms. He has already been out and is coming next Tuesday and Wednesday to do the job. He can also get the doors much cheaper than the diy stores sell them at, so at long last I will be up and running for Christmas hopefully.

I had a long chat with the police officer that contacted the joiner and he would like me to progress it through Consumer Direct and Trading Standards. I have received a text from the joiner saying that he is not finishing the job because I have been to the police. My keys are being posted back and he has also said that he will return £100 next week from the £600 that I paid him. Very BIG of him seeing that the job is not even half finished. I must confess that it has made me quite poorly over the last 48 hours, but I am picking up now thank goodness. :-D :-D

Well done to everyone for all the decorations, trees and Christmas Puds!! My mum used to make them every year for us and I still miss them, albeit that they are a sin for me now! :-D :-D

Wonder if LG is glued to the floor yet, covered in tinsel and glitter :-D :-D :-D

Evening all, well I have finally unglued myself although we are both covered in glitter and so is the house. :-D. But we don't care as they have had a really great time and they have been as good as gold.

I changed my avitar from the Bah Humbug because I am just starting to get into Christmas mode ;-). The tree is still not decorated as the lights were only found at lunch time (oh ventured up into the loft muttering about b****y Christmas :-D :-D. I will get it done over the weekend.

Aaaah, so someone is still feeling 'Bah Humbug' in your household, LG!! :-D :-D Typical of men. If you have got a lot of hot air going on as well as DET, temperatures should rise pretty quickly, so we will be able to have a barbecue on Christmas Day!! :-D :-D

I have just found his black santa hat with Bah Humbug on it :-D :-D :-D. He wears that and I wear a very fluffy fur fabric red one (no writing on it) . OOOOOOOOooooo I have just found my Santa sack he bought me last year. Now I bet you can't guess what picture it has on it ;-)

morning all early stint today I have to help look for a secret santa gift today for tuesday .we have all been given a fiver to get one with .we save 2 pounds a week and use it for meals out and such like together
its not as wet here but very windy I am hoping to go the opposite way to the crowds today and choosing a small centre nearby

Morning Maz. Good luck with the shopping; with all the sales on you ought to be able to get something good for that. It sounds a sensible idea to save up for work outings. How sensible.

I think we'll be clearing up. Because of yesterday's yucky weather, it didn't seem fair to nag OH to take stuff out to the garage. If I'd known he'd get it finished so quickly, we could have ordered the carpet for delivery before Christmas, not after. Never mind.

LG and her OH are going to look a proper couple of Charlies if they go out in Santa hats...they'll be stopped by other customers who think they're staff!! :-D
