YG Report 18 Dec 2012 22:28

I'll send mine over on the catapult for you to wrap for me, LG :-D :-D That will keep you out of mischief for a bit longer :-D :-D

No thanks I have seen quite enough of that job for this year :-|

YG

YG Report 18 Dec 2012 22:43

And I thought you were a buddy :-D :-D

I guess I will have to tackle it myself then on Thursday. Tomorrow evening I have to try to set up the BT vision box with power adaptors, as BT have now installed a new phone socket in the bedroom and my hub is now in there. That should be fun!! It seems simple enough, but whether I get a picture at the end of it, only time will tell!! I also need to decorate the tree.

If I can finish the present wrapping on Thursday/Friday, then it leaves the weekend for me to do some final tidying up and the ironing and shopping!! Maybe then I will get some rest :-P :-P

I'm off now as I have a busy day at work tomorrow. Party time!! Oh joy!! At least there will be a decent lunch and some of the games should be a laugh!!

Sleep well, LG. I'll catch you tomorrow <3 <3

Evening to those who may still be around.

You *have* all been busy decorating your abodes - is anyone still in bah humbug mode?? :-D

Glad the meal went smoothly Maz, and make the younger ones move the furniture for the office party YG!

We finished gadding about town a couple of hours ago after a meal out. With the cost of that, we think it will be a McD next time!! Tuesday is 2 fer ticket price at the cinema which we can book in advance if we pass by.

Not sure about The Hobbit. OH wanted to see it . We both said we disliked the way they pan round very fast, which half the time is out of focus. It made me feel travel sick :-0

There's a new Star Trek and different sci-fi film out next year we'll probably try and see. Can't have too much excitement all in one go!

Morning all, just a quick peek around the door before I start decking the hall with boughs of holly.
Fala lala lala lalala. See I am in festive mode :-D.

And that's 2 more things crossed off your list today Paula :-D Hope you have a great time at both.

Not really holly LG? It will all droop by the time Christmas is here. Trust me on that one :-(

Off to work for an hour later, for 'Supervison'. not quite sure what is entailed, but at least it adds a few £ to the coffers. Then its the last shop before Christmas Day. Another list to make ;-)

Well done Maz :-)

We/I've got to the point of that if we haven't bought it, we don't need it. Since Xmas Mark 2 is on New Years Day, we have time to restock with fruit and veg.

Mazfromnorf

Mazfromnorf Report 19 Dec 2012 19:49

YG Report 19 Dec 2012 20:35

Evening all.

You've all been busy little bees and dining out again too DET!!!

The party was a sort of 'alright' affair. A bit of a laugh!! I was 'mummified' in toilet tissue, along with one member from each of the other teams, to see who made the best snowman!! There was a lovely lunch, but unfortunately I started with crippling stomach ache about 3pm . I have been laid on the settee since getting home but thank goodness it has cleared up now, whatever it was. Needless to say it has stopped me doing the jobs that I was going to do. :-D :-D

LaGooner Report 19 Dec 2012 20:51

Oh dear YG. There is so much Noravirus going around, take care

YG

YG Report 19 Dec 2012 21:06

No, it's not that, LG. Whatever it was it has gone now. Maybe there was a bit too much spicy food on my lunch plate. I don't normally eat spices. I am trying to avoid all bugs and viruses as I can't cope with anything else after the last three weeks :-P :-P

The good news is that I have received my house keys back in the post today. Now I will wait to see if he returns the £100 he promised. I'm not holding my breath though and he should be repaying much more than that. An expensive lesson for sure, but I am pulling through it now :-D

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 19 Dec 2012 21:30

Good news about the keys turning up. With a bit of luck he might return some of the money in the New Year once he's earned it.

Are you sure your crippling tummy ache wasn't caused by laughter? What a sight you must have been :-D Fingers crossed that what ever caused it has been given the boot.

OH has suggested the farm shop if we do need extra fruit and veg before next week rather than struggle with the supermarket. When we did that a few years ago, it was so packed that everyone had to join a single file and follow each other round the shop, a bit like a very slow moving conveyor belt.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 19 Dec 2012 21:40

I have last minute food bits to buy now I know who is where over Xmas. I always get our veg from the farm shop or local grower. And the meat of course from Son .

Good news on the keys YG. Lets hope you get the money soon.

YG Report 19 Dec 2012 21:50

Photos were taken at work, so if I can get a copy I will let you have one!! :-D :-D

I still have my food shopping to do, but it's not so bad as there is only me. We were talking at work today about it and my friend's partner does theirs on Christmas Eve. He says it is usually quiet and there is plenty of stock available. Not sure whether I want to risk it, but can't bear to think of the fight for car parking spaces and queuing at the tills on Saturday. :-P

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 19 Dec 2012 21:55

We have found it quiet on Xmas Eve too on the odd occasion that we needed something from a supermarket. OH and I have always gone out for a wander around the shops and markets on our own on Xmas Eve. We always left the kids behind with my MIL when they were small and home alone when they were teenagers.
