YG Report 19 Dec 2012 22:05

I'll get my meat from the butcher on the way to work, but I've just remembered that the car is being valeted at 12.30 on Monday at home, I think I will go on Sunday as soon as they open and get it over and done with.

I'm off to bed now to catch up on some beauty sleep (and I need plenty of it!!).

Sleep well LG <3 <3

Morning all, Maz I can't say as I have seen them here either only got the common version ;-) :-D. We are famous for sprouts in Bedfordshire so I'll stick with those

Good morning all.

Argh! Green Veg! I thought we had some frozen brocolli or cauliflower but we appear to have eaten it. :-(
The Farm grows Romanesque, so in previous years the Farm Shop is usually well supplied. Haven't checked recently. The weather has caused a lot of havoc this year with the crops.

Hope alone today. OH is working, and PC at the B/F's. Since OH has the car, I can't go out even if I wanted to.

Good morning all. Our local farm shop, which is now much more than just a farm shop sells every veg you can imagine including Romanesque. Today my friend Georgina is coming for lunch, I have made a Thai Curry, and just about to start to make a chicken and ham terrine. My "list of things to do" is getting shorter , but for some reason I seem to be adding to it!

Ooooo that would be nice. I have got to play Santa later and take the gifts that the Brownies made to the Elder Peoples club. In the meantime attempting to catch up on some dreaded ;-)

Hope you have a wonderful time Paula, and that the food is appreciated. See if you can persuade your OH to take on more of the items on the list. You may be surprised at his expertise under your excellent tutelege ;-)

Have fun at the Lunch Club LG. The Brownies homemade gifts could be really appreciated by those who don't have grandchildren.

Thank you Det. My OH is a real sweethart and helps where and when he can, I am just getting on with some preparation. He is a whizz at washing up, loadiing/unloading the dish washer, prepping the veggies, I am just writing his list ;-)

Have a lovely time at Brownies. I love a good craft stall :-D :-D

PS I do so love my lists :-D

Hi Paula we posted at the same time earlier. Just sitting here in my office going through the pressies to see what else I need to get. The Brownies make gifts for our Elder Peoples club every year, this time they have painted glass tea light holdersd and put christmassy tea lights in them.

Just trying to decide what to do for lunch. Hmmm might just pop over to Paula's ;-)

Good idea LG - I'd have to pass on the Thai curry though. Chicken and ham terrine sounds good. With a bit of garnish and plenty of fresh bread, that would go down a treat :-D

PollyinBrum Report 20 Dec 2012 16:31

DET & LG. Curry was a great success, my friend asked for the recipe :-D The terrine is now in the freezer, just give me a shout when you are on your way and I will have it all ready for you. I swerve it with salad & Satsuma garlic& chilli jelly.

YG Report 20 Dec 2012 20:53

Evening all.

All this talk of lovely food is making my mouth water :-D :-D :-D Is there any terrine left please, Paula? You could wrap it and send it up norf on LG's broomstick!

I've progressed a bit more with the tree! Doing it in stages this year!! I'm going to the panto with a work colleague tomorrow night, so the remainder of the decorations will have to wait until Saturday!!

LaGooner Report 20 Dec 2012 21:34

Evening YG. I am orf to the Panto on 29th with the Brownies and Rainbows. Mini Gooners are going too.

YG Report 20 Dec 2012 22:34

Evening LG.

I have been distracted trying to connect these power adaptors for the vision box. Got it all connected up and working but the picture and sound are not good. I have had to revert back to the set top box. It looks as though I will have to call BT out, but I didn't want cable running everywhere. :-P :-P

That's my evening gone again!!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 20 Dec 2012 22:43

I have been sitting here almost nodding off. Half concentrating on Ancestry and half on TV, but not really wanting to be asked :-D. I leave all the technical bits to OH :-D

YG

YG Report 20 Dec 2012 22:53

It's all connected up alright, but just a very dim picture and low sound. The aerial is in the loft, not on the roof, so I don't know whether that is the problem, or whether because the bungalow has brick walls, it is blocking the data transmission. I will have to call BT, but won't be able to phone them until Saturday. I am fed up of crawling around on my knees at the back of the set!!
