Good morning everyone. It's a murky dismal day here. Just a few chores for me today. I hope you all get done what you have to do.

LaGooner Report 10 Jan 2013 10:02

Glad you enjoyed your meal Paula. OH partook of Sains famous fish'n'chips while I had a veggie lasagne with half the calories. If we had to wait as long as you did, even in a proper restaurant, we'd have been rather cross.

YG and Maz put us to shame. Which reminds me...must find a roofer.

Hope you got your admin sorted LG. Ours tomorrow + a mountain of ironing. At least there is no more Sessions until Monday to get in the way.

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 10 Jan 2013 17:42

Evening everyone............ we've got rain again, the garden is just a bog now.

Had to go for another scan today but the doctor decided to send me to the Walk-in Clinic instead of the hospital. I was pleased at first because it's only a short drive away. Wasn't that pleased when I got there though. They waited until I had on one of those fetching gowns with the split up the back then told me to go to the loo............ down the corridor past the waiting area.

Told them I didn't want to go but they insisted my bladder had to be empty. Had to walk past a row of people while trying to hold my gown together at the back. Could feel the eyes burning into me, wonder if they were admiring my gown or the trendy split up the back.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 10 Jan 2013 18:59

Evening Pauline - good to see you :-D

Shame they didn't have loos right next to where the scanner was. Bet you felt a bit of a twit, and drafty in the nether regions?

LaGooner Report 10 Jan 2013 19:30

Ooo la la Pauline ;-) :-D.

Admin all finished until the start back at Brownies and Rainbows next week thank goodness

YG Report 10 Jan 2013 19:35

Evening everyone.

Oooh Pauline, I bet you looked really fetching walking up the corridor :-D :-D Now if it had been me it would have probably caused an eclipse of the moon :-D :-D

Hope you got that pile of ironing done, DET !!

Maz, mine will have to be done in stages too as I am doing most of it, so it is a case of as and when!

The council surveyor is coming tomorrow lunchtime to bring the certificate for the glass and check the work. It was only finished yesterday, so I hope it is ok as the frame still has to be sanded and painted.

I tried to make an appointment for him to visit before Christmas expecting it to be done but they wouldn't give me a lunchtime appointment. I decided to wait and see if I could arrange a date when I could book some leave in February, but they called me today. The woman that rang today said there was no problem in arranging a lunchtime appointment and he is coming at 1.30 tomorrow. She said it wasn't worth wasting a day's holiday, so it just shows the difference between two peoples' attitudes in the council office.

Morning all.. who are probably at toil or child caring, with the exception of Paula who is lumbered with her own ironing and Pauline who comes and goes.

Don't think you'll get many offers to help, Paula. Why do you think mine is a mountain rather than a molehill?? ;-)

Guess what? We are 'promised' the white stuff over the weekend. It had better not be much or I'll be having words with the weather fairy :-|

PollyinBrum Report 11 Jan 2013 10:36

Good morning everyone. THE SUN IS SHINING here, sorry to shout but it looks so good, however "they" have forecast snow so my joy maybe short lived.. I am going to get my hair cut and a manicure this morning. Just waiting for a delivery, then I may consider walking. DET I have folded and put some on hangers, so not too much ironing, I have a big pressure steam iron, so I get a facial at he same time... Have good day x :-D :-D

Evening all. Weekend :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D A full week over and done with!

I have some ironing that I can add to the pile, if anyone is volunteering :-D :-D

The surveyor has been today and passed the new glass panel in the kitchen, so whoopee, another problem less :-D :-D

5-10 cm snow forecast here this weekend, starting tomorrow afternoon :-P :-P Am off out in the morning to get my nails done and then food shopping. Home then and I will be staying in where it is warm and will carry on with the bathroom.

There is a huge new Morr***ns opening on Monday just down the road from the office. We were going to have a look at lunchtime but it depends on the weather now, as they have just said that more snow is forecast for Monday. I have taken a firm decision to hibernate :-D :-D

A rest will have done you good, Maz. Your body is telling you to take it a bit easier! The dust will still be there tomorrow :-D
