Morning everyone.

No more snow overnight and some is starting to clear. Main roads look ok, so will venture to local shop for milk. The rest can wait!

Maz, I hope your Aunt gets home safely and looks after herself, keeping warm and dry.

No rest for the wicked, DET!! I'm not really great but need to get on with the bathroom, so will keep myself occupied in there and hopefully the mind free of anything else!

I have just seen an article telling everyone to go to work in bright colours on Monday to counteract the depression of 'Blue Monday'' (the most depressing day of 2013) !! I had better see if I have anything psychedelic in my wardrobe !!

It is very picturesque outside, but bloomin' cold!! Could we not have had this during the unmentionable season :-D

LOL – a White (C Word) is a fallacy in the UK. Apparently it was the works of Charles Dickens who popularised the myth. His parents and older relatives would have experienced the end of a ‘Little Ice Age’ (1782-1811) when snow fall over the festive season occurred one in every four years. He would have absorbed those oral memories and incorporated them into his writing.

Some of the early C cards were designed by the same person who illustrated Charles Dicken’s books – hence the myth was propagated!

Take care walking from your car to the shops, and see if you can find something bright and sparkly to wear to work tomorrow ;-)

Morning all, well gales, thunder and lightning last night
so thought that this morning we would have a good covering
of snow as at 3am it was a blizzard.
Nothing much lying, its that soft slushy stuff.

LG positive thoughts for your friend and ((((hugs)))) for you.

Take care all.

Good afternoon everyone. I am just back from shoping, OH has gone to the football match, and I have complete control of the TV Remote, so I am going nowhere and doing nothing. I hope you are all & (MAZ's Aunt) tucked up safely.

DET I used to drive a two seater sports cars until two years ago, I had several little spins in them. I always thought it might be fun on a skid pad ;-)

LG I hope it's good new for your friend.

Afternoon Paula. Enjoy your free time with the remote :-D :-D

That was a very interesting lesson, DET!! I'm sure, though, as a much younger person, I experienced snow during the C Season!! Perhaps my memory has made it up over the years which are now far too many to admit to :-D :-D

I'm busy stripping again. You would think I would have more sense on a chilly day like today!! But almost there. I could push on and get it finished today, but I am not wearing myself out. I have done some spot filling as well, so will finish tomorrow morning and then I can sand and paint the cupboard framework before the joiner comes back to fit the new cupboard doors.

Tonight will definitely be 'relaxing mode' for me :-)

Morning all - hope the shoulder doesn't ache too much today YG. That bathroom will be finished before you know it :-D

OH decided to watch the snooker all evening. All the hours others watch football over the season, he manages to fit in to one weekend :-|
At least some of his relatives have been despatched after hiding for years.

Just started snowing fine flakes. Latest forecast is 2-4 cm which shouldn't cause any problems in the morning, says she with her fingers crossed! I might try and persuade him to clear the drive later today just in case there is more than that.

Take care what ever your plans today

Good morning every Hope you are all OK and no-one is snowed in. We had planned to go and see the little ones this morning, then have lunch at home, but I have just looked out of the window and the snow is falling thick and fast. I HATE Snow! :-(
